The new fed chairman is operating based on consensus. Rate increase is the consensus so he would continue that for a while.
Be fearful of the big bear market. The 2nd oldest bull market has ended before a mass participation. It’ll be better than 2000 crash, but a crash is still a crash.

That’s fine, if a recession has to come I’ll just weather the storms… but one thing is for certain: no asset will be liquidated (unless taken by force… )
