If higher long-term rates are causing the selloff, then puts on the TLT are super cheap insurance. If long-term rates go higher, then the price of TLT will decline. It’s considered low volatility, so the price of puts is much cheaper than SPY. Even money March TLT puts are 1.4%. SPY are 3.8%.

Remember WB’s saying, when you’re in an accumulating phase, you want the price to keep declining. You only want increasing price when you want to sell

Wait a minute. Google disappointed, AAPL also disappointed in unit sales. Maybe the earnings growth is slowing. Probably the big investors already read tea leaves and decided to sell
possible. There is only so much growth in tech companies, and most of advertising (in google’s case) depends on retail and other industries to keep advertiser dollars coming, so if there is stagnation in the other industries could indicate slow down in Tech.

Say you want to scale in 10 times, and have $10,000, each time would be $1000.
Normally, use a fixed interval, say 1 week, 5 mins before Friday close, buy $1000 worth regardless of price.
