What contract? The other party had been providing service for 100+ years. Was there anything in there that said you can be charged if you go off the grid? If not, why doesn’t everyone getting solar panels pay a fee?
If they’re going to get upset, they should’ve asked before investing in the infrastructure…

And here in AZ you DO pay a fee to stay on the grid but not buy any electricity. As you should.

That at least they seem to resist quite well.
But a major problem my neighbor has is snowfalls. Snow accumulates on the panels and then melts from below. The result is that the entire mass then slides as a unit. Stand in the wrong place at the wrong time and it can kill you. That neighbor needs to repair deck railing which was smashed clear through last year.

I don’t think that they’re completely off - any MIT owned properties that are not near the main campus probably are not hooked up and I don’t know if they stay connected as a backup. By going to a cogen plant, the heat given off by the process could be funneled back into heating MIT since a lot of the original buildings use steam heaters which was a win-win for them.
You guys are right. Should have written “4 kW” rather than 4 panels (panel size varies so it’s not really a useful number). Could still easily fit 5x that on the roof.

Now, Many Republican senators supporting impeachment of Trump or asking him to resign.
If impeached, Trump will not get secret service protection (and ex-president honor in future)
If impeached, he can not go for 2024 elections too.
They (Some Rep and Dems) forcing him to resign now. !

Yes and Yes. Congress, including few republican senators, wants to show that no one is above the law !
The main issue here is, If impeached, he will not be considered ex-president, no secret service for life. He can be arrested later and challenged in court too !
Trump made history many ways including this historical riots to disrupt president-elect confirmation by congress. He crossed the danger line and his supporters made it as a coup kind of attack on capital hill. If congress does not put a punishment, this sets a precedent for future attack !
Further, there are damages on capital hill, many died…who will pay for it? The creator or organizer !
Unless Senate rejects it, I guess the only way to get out of this mess is to resign on the last day before impeachment approval.

So this begs the question I asked earlier. Who is the left afraid of the most? Trump, 74+ millions Trump supporters, media companies like Gab and Parler? The coordinated attacked to take down first and the last was easy. What will they do to 74+ millions?

You are thinking one set of people afraid of another set of people.
Here is the basic issue:
If you and me verbally abuse each other, parties can go to court on offense.
If you and me physically attack each other, higher offense, parties can go to court on criminal offense.
Same thing was done now, one team crossed the lane to disrupt the service of congress, the highest law office of USA. Will they leave the other party scot-free?
There is a limit line, Unknowingly Trump crossed the limit, and he may need to pay for it !
Agreement to a set of facts and presumptions is the first step towards conciliation. So long as facts and assumptions diverge, I will not be so positive. Just as in stock market, the price and the value of the stock have to move in tandem.
