Elon, Isn't Your Plate Quite Full As It Is?

OMG, what next? Is Tesla buying Safeway???

These hi-tech entrepreneurs are influencing each other or running out of ideas. All gyrate to autonomous vehicles service, streaming music service, and anything AI/ML/VR/AR.

I think American hi-tech companies are trying to turn into conglomerates… selling products and services from the most basic (whole foods) to the most sophisticated (a trip to Mars).

I don’t get why this is so complex. Divers are going in to take them supplies. It seems you could get them out 1 at a time. Is breathing through a regulator so complicated that it’s too risky to try it?

I think they are in very bad condition health wise after being trapped for so long so dragging them through water might risk death.

The explanation is that it’s a hazardous journey even for the divers. But if that’s the case, it would seem even more important to get the kids out before a diver bites it trying to bring supplies.

Looks like they’re hoping to pump out the water before Monsoon season starts.

I do want Elon to be successful this time…

So engineers are willing to do what Navy Seals are unwilling to do?
Yay! Engineers are the pillars of human societies. Keep it up, engineers

Rude!

Engineers assist Navy Seals in doing what they can do even better.

According to the article you linked to, CNBC is interviewing a Navy Seal who say he won’t want to be there.
Seal is not as good as they make up to be. You have been indoctrinated by the Hollywood and Marine’s ads.

Former Sgt. Saman Kunan, a Thai ex-SEAL, died at 2 a.m. Friday (2 p.m. Thursday ET), as he returned from an operation to deliver oxygen tanks to the cave where the boys are located.
The 38-year-old ran out of air while underwater, an official said.

Is it worth risking life of so many well trained specialists for the children? When would the operation be called off? 1 for 1 death of adults? That is 12 adults die then call off? Who is the one making that assessment? Btw, why is an ex-Seal doing there or is it how we call a deceased Seal? Just want to be logical, not playing the empathy thingy.

It is public challenge to the government and officials. We can not assume that everyone will die, but it tells us how hard it is.

Here is the further info:

Former Sgt. Saman Kunan, 38 , who was working as a volunteer alongside rescuers, died between 1 and 2 a.m. Friday local time.

SEAL commander Arpakorn Yookongkaew said Kunan died placing oxygen canisters underwater along the route to the stranded boys. The Evening Standard notes this is the current method for replenishing air supply in the cave, where 12 boys and their soccer coach have been trapped since June 23. Kunan passed out and efforts to resuscitate him failed.

A Facebook profile remembering Kunan, with an adventurous spirit — bicycling and racing, clad in athletic gear. After retiring as a navy SEAL, Kunan became a triathlete and worked as an airport security officer.

:frowning: That does not bode well.

ex-Seal generally means no-longer in the service.
