Yes, I love trucks too. Thinking about dumping my SUV and going back to a TRD Tacoma. Less landlording without the 4plex but still a truck bed comes in handy now and then. And sure, you become a “great friend” to anyone needing hauling help…
I just bought a 1978 corvette, if it were 3 years older then I wouldn’t have to deal with smog checks, but I like the car.

The new four door trucks are known as chickups. A real truck has two doors and an 8 foot bed . The rest are for soccer moms. Keep your 4 runner and get a 5x8 trailer for hauling. A good used trailer is $1000-1500.
Really??? I do like the extended cab, but not necessarily the full 4 door cabs. 4Runner I must say has served me well that I can’t complain too much.
Trucks cost over $60k . My 4Runner is $40k new . I paid $28k in 2006. And it will last another 20 years.

Sad when my own contractor is sporting a top of the line 4x4 crew cab TRD Tacoma with fancy running boards that pop out when door is open. I told him that he was obviously charging me too much…
Expensive cars are for wannabes. I do own a 2018 Highlander SE also. But the 4Runner is my work truck. Most reliable car ever. 160k miles
