They need to innovate to make money. I like XBI although I’m out of it now. It’s equal weight not market cap weighted. I wouldn’t touch healthcare providers, because margins will always be low.
Market bets no rate hike. AAPL shot up more than 10% for the past three days, today is $5 (>4%) and is still going up. May be no RE cooling in SV.
Apple is up because Sprint and T-moble said iPhone pre-orders are 300-400% higher than last year. This iPhone is a HUGE upgrade cycle.
You mean the iPhone 7 that every tech blogger is disappointed at? These so-called experts are just embarrassing. All they care about are new case designs, like a 5 year old. They don’t care about all the work done on the hardware and software inside. No new case = no innovation for these jokers.
The A10 chip is amazing. There is no doubt Apple has the best chip design team on the planet.

The only positive for iphone 7 is failure of Samsung Note 7 & recall. Being the thanksgiving quarter, Apple has higher demand iphone 7 gift/purchases against samsung phones.
Not really. Lack of headphone jack doesn’t affect most since most don’t use jack, longer battery life is golden and more storage is godly. A10 is wicked fast. Jet black 7+ with dual camera is cool. Most importantly, pundits underestimate the size of iPhone installed base and size of the annual upgraders. Reverse psychology-wise, would Apple so foolish to announce that they would not share the weekend sales if sales are bad?
If you try to buy the iPhone, delivery isn’t until the 2nd week of October. That’s crazy considering how they ramp production. Plus, the chip companies are reporting good numbers and giving strong forecasts.
This is just like Tesla is telling Model 3 will be delayed. Based on number of orders, production starts at with zero inventory supply chain processing.
All orders has to invoice, credit charged, remitted. All ordered verified for money and then routed to appropriate suppliers, assembled, tested, dispatched, air-lifted, and reaches customer.
Being first release, the entire cycle takes 2-4 weeks easily !
During iphone 6 release first day, due to high number of hits, ATT and APPLE web site was down for around 2-3 hours. While this time, all sites were up, running. You can say “Site is maintained well, upkeep”, but iphone 6 was major break.
Above all, ATT and Verizon are big players compared to sprint. If ATT and Verizon says beyond iphone 6, we can be assured further.
iphone 7 is not so attractive like iphone 6. Still, it will fetch good numbers by thanksgiving sale and samsung note 7 fire recall. Until this news was out Apple was low at $103 level, after iphone 7 news released.
We will definitely see whether this hype or not in quarterly release.
I guarantee Apple shipped millions of phones the first weekend. They are usually building it for a few weeks before the product announcement. They shipped 80M in a single quarter last year. Tesla can’t even ship 100,000 cars in an entire year.

The fact is sales_number(iphone7) is going to be less than sales_number(iphone6) for the first quarter of each release !

I actually think iPhone 7 may have bigger sales number than iPhone 6. There was a wave of people upgrading or first time buying iPhone when the 6 came out, because of its larger screen. And 2 years later these people are ready to upgrade. And then you add in the new first time users for the 7 and sales number will be higher than 6.
Not only that, the ASP may be higher as well because the Plus with the dual camera is very compelling.
Also annual upgraders i.e. those iPhone 6S guys. 5S or earlier guys with 16GB would jump into 7 32GB with longer battery life.
All, let us wait and see until qtr result !
7 will out sell the 6. The 6s sold actually slightly edged the 6 for the 1st quarter both were available. The 6 sold more the 2nd and 3rd quarters available. It wouldn’t surprise me if the 7 hits 100M for the holiday quarter.
