The so called republicans, or conservative bunch of hypocrite people are the most socialistic society.

By their standards:

Ike Eisenhower would be considered a socialist or communist today as well.

He credited labor unions as well as business for our country’s economic success at the time.

Warned against the military-industrial complex.

Passed the first Civil Rights Act and sent troops to the South to help keep black children safe during school integration. (Hint: None of our kids, or the kids of those reading me would be integrated into society if they weren’t “white”)

Began two huge socialist projects: the Interstate Highway System and NASA.

Why so quiet?

National debt is being considered as a national emergency by republicans nowadays after they gifted $ billions to the people who said they didn’t need tax cuts but they went ahead and screwed the millions of poor guys now owning to the IRS instead of receiving. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Those millions were being screwed under the old system that had them giving the government interest free loans, then getting the money back only months later.
Your own links point out that nearly everyone saw their taxes decrease. Everyone that is except the most highly leveraged of the rich living in CA or NY or other high tax states.

LOL…“their taxes decreased”…………Let me enjoy that moment……….decreased…as in paying more taxes, you know, usually getting a refund of $8K but now paying to the IRS $2K while Amazon, earning what? $11 Billion didn’t pay a dime?:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

You got me worried for awhile here, I thought you were a RE investor worried about that “attack against states with a good economy”. I didn’t know you weren’t a commie hating rich people? I mean, your fellow forum RE investors whom are millionaires. That’s what they say :laughing::laughing::laughing:

“”“”" You may have heard President Donald Trump say that the US economy is booming right now.“”“”

That’s an exaggeration, but the economy is definitely growing, as the latest economic indicators show.

But why doesn’t it feel like the economy is growing? The answer is pretty simple: Because economic growth is not really benefitting the average American worker.

The chart below says it all. The red line shows that overall wages are growing faster than they have in a long time — about 3 percent per year. That’s great, right? Not really. Look at the blue line. That’s the actual wage growth when you factor in inflation and cost of living (based on the Consumer Price Index).“”"

The tax cuts did more harm than good

GOP’s signature economic policy achievement, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, did little to boost wages and business investment .

As you know, $3.2 trillion in tax cuts for American families, including the doubling of the standard deduction and the doubling of the Child Tax Credit. The typical family of four earning $75,000 will see an income tax cut of more than $2,000 — many much higher than that — slashing their tax bill in half. And they’re going to start to see that. Because we’re signing today, they’re going to start to see that in February. The numbers will speak.

**OK…we have 2 kids. But we got a check short of $500. I am stupid, I confess, about the child tax credit, meaning that we have to appreciate getting $20 a month more on a paycheck, plus getting a $4K tax credit but still had to lose $500? **
With that kind of “help”? No thanks!

The motivation to help people is natural and good. Problem is when bureaucrats take over. They have a vested interest in us all being dependent on them instead ourselves. The celebration of victimhood in America has created three generations of pathetic needy welfare recipients…

The LA times article was written by liberals. Their are no conservatives left in California politics. In fact in all the blue states and cities conservatives have been rejected for 50 years Can’t blame conservatives for the mess created in California and our big coastal cities. Democrats created the problems and will have solve them. Republicans can’t get elected in California. And thanks to Trump Republicans may be marginalized for years.
So listen Liberals. Your policy of giveaways and political correctness doesn’t work. Figure something else out. We true conservatives have no say in the mattter.
People forget Clinton was a tough love Democrat. Workfare not welfare. I was a Clinton Democrat. The looney left like Pelosi, Boxer and Bernie drove the Dems into a ditch so deep Trump got elected… They only have themselves to blame.

BTW Trump is a nationalist populist not a conservative.
Calling his supporters conservatives is incorrect. The toothless masses of evangelicalistic idiots that elected Trump are more bluedog democrats, aka Dixiecrats, than true conservative Republicans …
