High crime areas in California

Folk have been “calling for change” for at least 30 yeas now.
Gentrification is the only answer. You can’t fix the ghetto mentality.

“We are definitely seeing more and more particularly organized retail crime and incidents of shrink in our locations,” Best Buy CEO Corie Barry told analysts during a conference call Tuesday. “This is a real issue that hurts and scares real people.”

Barry told reporters during a separate call that the company is seeing organized theft increase across the country, but particularly in San Francisco.

Retailers lose about $65 billion each year to organized theft, the bulk stolen by professional thieves, Dugan said.

  • Newsom: “I have no sympathy, no empathy whatsoever for people smashing and grabbing, stealing people’s items, creating havoc and terror in our streets. … We want real accountability. We want people prosecuted. And we want people to feel safe this holiday season.”

Shortly after making those comments at a San Francisco vaccine clinic, Newsom’s office announced that the governor had left the state to join First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom and their four children in Mexico, where they are slated to stay until Nov. 28. Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis will serve as acting governor in Newsom’s absence.

Gotta love CA.
Who shops at Target? Folk of limited means, disproportionately minority. So looting one is just showing the world that black lives matter.
Who shops at Nordstrom, Saks 5th and Louis Vitton? Rich white folk. So when those places get looted suddenly it’s "where are the cops we were excoriating and trying to defund last year
I have a certain grudging respect for gang members who decide to make some bank off of CA “tolerance” and irrationality. At least they’re honest about what they are doing. I have no respect for some spoiled brat who tries to pass off theft as some kind of social statement.

So how does Newsom propose to punish these people? Wasn’t downgrading the thefts a ballot measure?

On Wednesday, Nishita was assigned to a KRON-TV reporter covering the Monday night burglary of the Prime 356 clothing store on the 300 block of 14th Street. At about 12:20 p.m. as Nishita stood outside the store with the reporter, a group tried to rob the pair and the security guard was “struck by gunfire” in the abdomen, Oakland police spokesperson Kim Armstead said. He was taken to Highland Hospital in critical condition.

Journalist Stanley Roberts, a former reporter at KRON, said he was covering the theft when three men pulled up in a car, one with a gun in hand, and tried to rob the reporter of his camera. When the security guard intervened, he was shot, Roberts said.

Roberts added that television news crews have bodyguards because they’re often targeted for their equipment while working in communities with high crime rates.

“This has been a systemic problem and it’s making it harder for journalists to do their jobs,” he said.

Time for vigilante justice. When even the fake news people need bodyguards. We will have to hire our own private police forces to combat progressives and their crime waves. Time to to time take over Sacramento and the Democratic tyranny

This news piece is one of the very few I have read recently that mentioned the race of the suspects. What’s interesting is in the comments section Michele Dauber (Stanford law professor, famous for ousting Judge Aaron Persky) commented that mentioning the race would hurt black Stanford students. Then someone jumped in presumably to argue against her, then it got deleted and the comment section was swiftly closed.

According to Michele’s logic, if any information is not enough to identify the suspect it should not be mentioned. So in the future all news will be like one person hit another person at some point in time in the past and that’s it. Actually no need to mention humans either, so one creature hitting another creature is sufficient.
