Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities slashes his estimate of iPhone shipments for the first quarter 2019 by 20 percent.
He also says shipments for the full year will decline 5 to 10 percent from 2018.
Apple shares dropped 3.2 percent on Friday, bringing their decline for the quarter to more than 26 percent.
That’s before Chinese ban and boycott are factored in. More downside ahead.

Out of these 3, AAPL is the only attractive stock at low price, nice dividend, long future. Next comes MSFT.
I have the opposite order. NVDA has unique tech that’s in a secular bull trend. Microsoft has successfully reinvented itself as a cloud powerhouse.
Apple though is suffering from being on the top third of the smartphone S curve. Growth will slow down a lot from here.
If I buy NVDA at $146.45, (EPS estimate 1.57) ROIC is 4.28%
If I buy AAPL at $165.48, (EPS estimate 4.69) ROIC coming to 11.48%

Most of the stocks are down after good results. This is market inefficiency.
IMO, The value generation of AAPL is too good by the lower market value of Apple stock.

Well, they are already discounting the heck out of the current ones, no? A sign of desperation at the Space Ship Apple???
They are offering trade-in. I bet they do OK on that financially. I’m sure the refurbish then sell the trade-ins. Used iPhones have pretty good market value.
