Have you sold your Amzn yet?

We are in sync on $100. It should go down below $99 so that we get better price than Warren Buffet ! :joy:

Bottom not till next year.

Remember, none of the government contractors, say LMT, BA (logistics), MSFT (software), AAPL(computers) …etc many companies won’t get their checks on time. If shutdown is lift after a month, these companies cash flow is impacted and it will reflect badly on the quarterly report/results.

Government service vendors and defense stocks went down by this shutdown.

First bottom is when Shutdown is lifted, until then we will easily see the markets are going down.

It won’t impact earnings just cash flow. They can book the liability as revenue. companies always report their receivables and payables. No one reports earnings on an actual cash basis. That’s why cash flow statement is separate. Plus, we don’t know. Some of those contracts may have been paid for upfront to get a discount, then revenue is recognized over the length of the contract.

No employees at government departments, moves some contracts away, cut/changes in contract, Shipments won’t be received/acknowledged…etc until shutdown period, in activity creates issues to supplier side companies.

The last time the government shutdown in 2013 for 16 days the U.S. economy took a $24 billion hit, according to Standard & Poor’s analysis.

Economic hit doesn’t equal earnings statement.
