This is a good one. Even though it’s comedy they make very good sense.
You don’t think it has anything to do with his contribution to the Starr report?
Also, don’t pretend democrats supported Gorsuch. Only 3 of them voted to confirm him.
If the guy didn’t have that many skeletons in his closet the Dems wouldn’t have that many vectors to go at him. The sexual misconducts are not the only thing. Before those news broke there were also the secret files. Now on top of everything else it’s blantantly obvious he committed perjury in front of national TV audience.
We didn’t even have time to get to his yelling, his threats, the questions whether this is a person suitable for a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the country.
Again SC justice appointment is a job interview. It’s a political appointment. If enough of the populace have doubts and objections that’s enough to reject. Nobody is entitled to a lifetime seat on the highest court. Not even if you went to Yale.
Exactly. The Republicans saw this coming a mile away, and that’s why Trump was advised on multiple occasions against picking BK. The reason Blasey- Ford wanted her case to stay confidential is because she personally had everything to lose and nothing to gain by going public-- whether it was 35 years ago or today.
And the republicans broke the senate by blocking garland who was fairly middle of the road. They also did away with the filibuster which would have ensured a more centrist candidate in order to get to the 60 vote threshold.
Democrats did away with the filibuster rule during Obama’s presidency. There should have been a vote in a Garland. It’s crazy the rules don’t limit the amount of time between a nomination and voting.
All that mentioning a Garland does is show it’s more about political BS and getting even than anything agaisnt Kavanaugh. I guess getting even justified ruining someone’s reputation and life.
Now there will be an investigation into who leaked Ford’s letter. In the hearing, it appears her lawyers never made her aware that the senate committee offered to go to California so she wouldn’t have to travel. They also offered a private hearing, so she wouldn’t have to be on TV and have everything be public. Since she said her wish was to remain anonymous, one has to wonder why her legal team didn’t notify her of those options. Of course, we all know it’s because they wanted to make a public spectacle of it despite her wishes to keep it private. It’ll be interesting when we find out who leaked the letter. If democrats did it agaisnt her wishes, that’s not going to play well in public opinion. Defying an alleged victim’s privacy wishes to publicly score political points is pretty low.
That was hillarious.
Best line “I never knew what happened at a White prep school, but now that I know, I’m sending my kids to a black school where it’s safe.”
Glad you liked it.
Sorry manch, can’t pick up any words uttered in your link. Any transcripts
Why are there so many laughters? At almost any statements?
I watched it again. The closed caption is no good. Sorry dude. But it’s damn funny.
This is fascinating. Wish we could go back to requiring a supermajority. I suspect it favored more moderate nominees and helped avoid the partisan mess we’ve found ourselves in today.
I’m off work tomorrow so I stayed up and happen to see your post with the commentary from the “experts”… interesting
Call it a hunch, but I don’t think it was acting. I think she’s got some problems.
Problems like getting sexually assaulted as a teen?
She’s too absent minded to be a college professor. My gut tells me something’s definitely wrong with her.
