Sounds similar to what some one told me about three Ws (uncertainties) of American life.
Work, Weather, and Wife.

never heard of it

DDD. Divorce Death and Dislocation… (job change or family obligations to move)

i heard a lot of divorce due to this.

Murder probably too

So when do people think we will start seeing real estate deals? The fall?

Interested in picking something up in Tahoe.

Come up and make offers. Plenty of sellers. Buyers? Local realtors are terrified of the virus and all the legal ramifications. Hard to actually see property. PM me for the local scoup. My wife is a broker.

Go the following in my mailbox. Sorry, no link to share.

Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac will only require servicers to advance 4 months of payments on loans in forbearance
For the last several weeks, the mortgage servicing industry has been crying out for help, lobbying the government to set up a federally backed liquidity facility for servicers to address the rapid rise in forbearance due to the coronavirus. Now, the FHFA is moving to help servicers who collect payments on loans backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but not in the exact way that servicers were expecting. Wow.

The democrats what shut down to continue so that unscrupulous tenants and the politicians have an excuse to not pay rent and wreck havoc on the housing market. Old age tactic. The politicians create a problem so that they can ask to be elected to fix the same. Nov 3 is still 6 months away.

A comment from the above linked article:

“This is exactly what happened in 2009 when Cisco puuled out of coyote creek in San Jose. What preceeded was a 30% real estate correction in the bay area”

My comment: Possible use of bad English. I think what the commentator might be saying is 30% correction succeeded CISCO pulling out from coyote creek in 2009.

What could that mean? Unpaid rent already is a reduction in income, now a landlord can deduct it a second time as an expense?

IF this goes through, it might potentially affect Bay Area Housing, especially in relation to the bolded parts below

President Donald Trump plans to temporarily halt legal immigration into the U.S., and a draft version of an executive order would bar people from seeking a range of work visas in his latest effort to contain the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

The new policy would deny entry for people seeking most types of work visas for at least 90 days, according to a draft order obtained by Bloomberg News.

But it includes exceptions for people seeking jobs in “food production and directly helping to protect the supply chain,” which could apply to farm workers. The ban would also not apply to health care or medical research professionals, according to the draft.

Technology industry workers living in the U.S. on H-1B visas, however, would need to provide updated certifications to the government that they are not displacing American workers. Refugees and asylum seekers would not be affected by the order, nor would spouses and children of U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Looks like it will only affect people seeking Green cards and that too for 60 days. Election stunt. Good for Bay Area as no problem for H1Bs.

He said the order would only apply to individuals seeking permanent residency or green card seekers. He added that additional immigration measures may be considered in the future as the country seeks to reopen its industries shut down in order to stop the novel coronavirus spread.

Frivolous H1Bs have already been reduced to a minimum in the last three years, not much left to trim.

This house in SF seems to be a great deal. Fully decked out but only $800 a foot.

Similar price range. Also $800 a foot.
