Sometimes my situation is similar to @hanera finds himself in about my comments. I do not understand what the conversation is about are what point is being made.

You just woke up and your brain is not fully operational.

@Roy321 implied China tries to coverup the issue about coronavirus and hence US is not aware earlier (I presume he is going along with Trump claim that he would do better if he is aware earlier)
@ww13 said that the info got out and USA should be aware earlier before the official China announcement.
My view is, just two different systems, in Singapore, pretty sure Singapore government would view the research centre as overstepping its authority.

Now I get it. US is unique in the regard that freedom of speech is revered so highly. Although I would say that has been on a decline for the last 30 years. Now the Universities and companies like Google, Twitter, Facebooks are the biggest speech censoring agencies.
