How Trump has handled the pandemic

So just to be clear you believe the current process is achieving that definition of effectiveness?
Do you believe in FEMA?

Did you read my earlier posts. Trump has publicly stated that he expects to be thanks and appreciated for any help and refuses to help people who criticize. He’s acting like a gangster

BTW the corruption and looting of the Federal supplies by Trump is almost complete. Here’s the Q&A

Basically all the Federal supplies are going to be run thru commercial distributors (Friends of Trump like the person I posted about earlier) who will then sell to States (highest bidder). Why add a profit seeking entity in the middle? Simply to help Trump and gang loot the nation during a crisis

The part of your comment in bold shows you cannot get over your hatred for Trump, and thus end up hurting your argument even in the cases you might be right. There is no evidence Trump is refusing help. Hate is going to take you nowhere.

You mean the friend of Trump who wasn’t connected to Trump in anyway in the article and was fund raising for Rubio in the presidential primary? You’re engaging in some serious extrapolation with zero evidence. Do you even know which companies are the distributors and who the majority owners are? You immediately leap to they must be allies of Trump with zero proof.

The guy explained why they use the distributors. The hospitals order directly from distributors which they’ve always done. The federal government is adding to the supply going to distributors. The distributors have daily trucks going to each hospital. They are the fastest way to get it there. If there’s price gouging, then states should report it since there’s an executive order against it. At this point, all they’re doing is complaining without producing any proof. Would it really be that hard to produce a couple of invoices showing the price gouging? You’d think that’d be enough to make it go viral and publicly shame the distributors into stopping it.

Where would a state receive a shipment of supplies? How long would it take them to staff up to sort the inbound supplies and sort it for outbound shipment to hospitals? How long would it take them to setup daily trucking routes? How would states pay for the transportation costs?

You don’t just standup a transportation network like that in a week or even a month. It’s far more efficient to use existing networks.

You’re sounding like those people who thought Jade Helm was an exercise so Obama could enforce martial law on states that didn’t vote for him.

A friend of mine just committed suicide. He was the best friend of a very good friend. We will never know why he ended his life, but he may be a victim of this virus. Lived alone, 51 years old. I always thought he was a little odd. Lived alone no girlfriend. But this isolation and panic might have driven him over the edge. This is the secondary effect of isolation that Trump warned about.

I have been saying the same. People are not wired to live in a lockdown state forever. If the states do not remove the lockdown by the end of this month, I can see a revolt.

Extrovert can’t. Introvert like me has been living in lockdown state :hugs: for many years.

You are not old enough to understand the irony. Lyndon Johnson used the light at the end of the tunnel cliche for years during the Vietnam debacle. It is a national joke. Trump needs to come up with a better line.

If I recall correctly, the term light at the end of the tunnel was used by Dr Fucci.

Nevada will cite you if your kids are outside. The police state is coming. Police are going into churchs in California and ordering people to leave. Meanwhile they are letting criminals out of prison. The light in the tunnel is the train coming at you. I anticipate road blocks and check points coming soon.

“We see light at the end of the tunnel. Things are happening,” Trump said during a White House coronavirus task force briefing. "We’re starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Since when is Nevada more gestapolike than CA? Wow…

Reminds me of an evangelical preacher. The point is always to encourage faith even if nothing is moving. You change phrases, but it’s always positive and implicating movement. Probably comes from him being in charge of businesses–having to encourage the troops.

The phrase light at the end of the tunnel was used by Dr Fucci. I have the link of the video. Dr Fucci says the phrase end of the tunnel at 1:26:04 . The video in the link will start 1:25:50. Watch it for a min and hear the words “light at the end of the tunnel” said by Dr Fucci.

Who is “Dr. Fucci?”

Same dude told us not need to wear masks few weeks ago

No one has stopped anyone from wearing a mask as far as I know.

Several nurses have been fired or reprimanded for wearing masks.

Nurse should quit the job of she does not like the work condition and take her services somewhere else. Nurses demand is similar to a policeman demanding to bring an automatic machine gun to work because he does not feel safe with the pistol provided by the police department to patrol the crime-ridden neighborhood.
