TWLO - started buying TWLO before the earning swoon (notice that bullish divergence?), average in as positive divergence remains, now holding 600 shares@$102, didn’t buy even more as the risk-management position size is $50k per position. TWLO should make a new ATH this year but need to verify when approaching $140.

Update: Trading above $116 today.

Above post is made on Jan 10, 2020. It wasn’t stated clearly, started buying from $110s (divergence first appeared) down to $90 (bottom). A difference of $20, nearly 20% down, a position trader is willing to withstand a larger decline than a day trader.

My comments on hedging are from a position (multi-month) trader’s to short-term (less than 1 year) investment perspective. Is why I use LEAPS and ignore consolidation (<10% decline). For swing traders, need to care about any consolidations for multi-day swings and more than 3% consolidation for multi-week swings.

Posted on Jan 18, 2020. My bet is the worse case is decline to $115 which is less than 10% decline from $123.27 (Friday close).
