Yes. America is peaceful because ancestors did a better job. Native Americans only 1% of population. Jewish people did a very lousy job with colonization. Palestinians outnumber Jews 2 to 1.

A replacement for the ineffective League of Nations, the organization was established on 24 October 1945 after World War II in order to prevent another such conflict. At its founding, the UN had 51 member states; there are now 193.

Israel actually didnât âwinâ their independence by conquering Palestine. The West gave the territory to them over Palestiniansâ objection. Another example of colonialism messing up the world.
Before independence Jews carried out quite a few terrorist attacks. Imagine the âIslamistsâ many now demonize but put white faces to them.
Too late for that. Palestinians are not hapless Native Americans.
As time goes on we improve. Back in the days of the mongols they sacked the whole villiages, killed all the men and raped all the women. Do I want to go back to those days? I donât. Do you?

Colonialism is a bliss for me. Canât live out the American dream without that⌠
After we gained tremendously with that, we should prevent any other countries from gaining the same thing. So we will denounce colonialism from now on.

Iâm failing to understand why DT is creating more trouble where none was immediately needed (in several areas right from Climate to now foreign policy).

This Jerusalem issue reminds me of the Taiwan issue. Taiwan is an independent country. Everybody knows it even the Chinese know it. But no no no. You canât say it out loud. Really what do you gain by saying it? Nothing. But if you so dare to open an embassy in Taiwan expect Chinese armies at your door in a couple hours.
So whatâs the logical thing to do? F the world and open anyway? Because we won the war and China just have to go pound sand?

Not an Apple to Apple comparison. China is stronger than Taiwan. Israel is stronger than Palestine. The stronger party has sway.
You forgot to put US in both the situations.
US is too far away and carry lesser weight. Regional power can be more dominating.
It means most of USAs defense + foreign policy allies are not with it on this issue.
Historically, european countries are more pro Palestine, while US is more for Israel. Not surprised even our little brother UK disagreed with us.

My point is more that if I were a Palestinian today and I obviously know what happened in the past why would I continue to hold such a rigid stance?
We are not learning history, and in that process we are repeating it again.
We saw the hand of our God in Iraq. We tried, and failed miserable trying to teach an old dog new tricks.
These people are used to kill each other in the name of Allah or God. Basically the ignorant religious people are trying to kill themselves for the right to put their God all over Israel or Palestine, you pick the area, why not the entire Middle East? People did it in the crusades, and they were pushed back and forth.
I admire Israel, they are so well advanced on anything regarding defeating the sand dunes. But they are facing a weaker but larger opposition, and economically speaking they need the US to survive. Thatâs why when I see a candidate telling all NATO country to eat sand if they can pay us back, well, I think whoever believes him is eating sand.
So, shall we make a promise be delivered and tell Israel to eat sand because we are not in the process of sending them $ billions every year, which they will use to give universal healthcare to their people, and on top of that, allow that money to be spent on abortions.
