The existence of UN has nothing to do with that. In fact it’s quite the opposite. UN is a system designed in such a way that the stronger Nations have sway over the weaker ones. In other words, the UN seeks to rule the world according to the will of the strongest nations. That’s why the UN security council consists only the five strongest nations in the world. UN does little to prevent subordinate ethnicities from being trampled and unrepresented. Just look at the Native Americans, the Chechens, and the Tibetans.

Israelis held the stance that they should have their own country for 2000 years. Why can’t the Palestinians do the same?
It’s easy to make fun of them because they are weak now and seem helpless. But in the long arc of history it’s only a blip. If I were a Palestinian I would never give up. What’s the upside in giving up? Just so my suppressors have it easy? Seriously?

Palestinians should focus on building commerce and making money rather than fighting and living under the victim mentality. They really have no one to blame but themselves, to be honest.
Look, I will do some research but I am applying the Cliff Notes approach on this one. Did they not have a war and Israel won? Yes or no. My understanding is that Israel won that war. If that is correct, why should the Palestinians have a say in anything? Losers don’t have a say!!!
Palestinians are living in territories ruled by Israel. The last thing I do is to blame them. It’s like your house got taken by thugs and you tell the victims why aren’t you doing any better?

Well, Israel allows Palestinians to work in Israel. That is cool!
But, politics get in the way, neither side wants to sit down and draw a resolution so both benefit. Religion and politics are in charge. And people from Israel themselves aren’t happy about any end to the conflict.
You can speculate bout the Israelis finishing off the other side, but the war wasn’t against only the Palestinians, it was against almost the entire Middle East.

The hope is that with UN, the bullying between nations of different sizes will be less, and thus reduce the chances of war. However, Stronger nations always had and will have more say, with or without UN. Without giving the strongest countries more power in the structure, this structure will not be stable: the powerful nations will simply not join such structure. You can have a cynic view with that. But that would be like saying rich people have advantages under the current judicial system, so the current system is set up so that the rich can bully the poor.

Not true at all. It is as much a home for the Jews as it is a home for the Palestinians. Your partiality to the Palestinians has blinded you from being objective here. The only way for Palestinians to better their livelihood is for them to do as I said. Spending all their time fighting the Jews and holding a victim mentality will not get them anywhere.

Guys, how have disputes in the world been handled if not dipomatically? Via guns and blood. Let’s be real for once. Countries were formed by someone stronger taking over the land and maintaining control until it can’t. To me, Israel has every right to Jerusalem. Why not?
This is the same issue as the Senkaku/Diaoyutai Island dispute between Japan and China minus the religious context. It’s never going to be resolved.

No, it would be resolved, through guns and blood. If China wanted to, really badly, it would roll over Taiwan and these islands. Would the US be willing to literally cause the end of the world in defense? At the end of the day, can you pull the trigger or not?
That is actually true. Although using the term “bullying” might be a little extreme. However, the current system is indeed set up in such a way that rich people are favored.

I think human evolution has passed the genocidal phase. China colonized both Xinjiang and Tibet, but the Uyghurs and Tibetans are alive and well. So, the Palestinians are here to stay. But in order for them to be happy and thriving, they have to learn to co-exist with the Jews and cooperate with them. Fighting and complaining will not help.
