After reading about it. No on prop 5 and prop 10. Prop 5 will eliminate inheritance tax for rental homes

Donā€™t need to always be short term selfish all the time. Sometimes a little bit sacrifice goes a long way. We as owners have already done very well. Need to leave some for others.

I also need to think whether a piece of legislation will benefit my kids and my kidsā€™ kids. Need to think long term.

Kind of tricky. It makes income inequality worse. Also it will have an impact on the ability of the city to invest infrastructure. It is good if you are a NIMBY and purchased a long time ago. Tricky if you purchased in the last 3-4 years. Doesnā€™t make too much sense if you are not a homeowner as it just makes it that much harder to buy

Itā€™s pretty reasonable to argue that with Prop 13 and no prop 5, then people will age in place further restricting housing supply. People will live in much larger homes than they need in retirement which will create more of a housing shortage. Prop 5 would allow people to move to a smaller home and free up larger homes for families. The bigger home selling at current prices would increase property tax revenue.

I probably not to vote on prop 5. But prop 10 is bad anyway you think of it. Prob 5 might be good if I am 55, if it takes fund away from Public service, there will be other tax to make it up.
