That means 2/3 left to move out and form families. Bullish long term for RE prices⌠especially as their parents will slowly die off and pass on their wealth . $75 trillion spread out over the next 25 years. $3 trillion per year
.
May be remained single for life
Billionaires like Bill Ackman knows RE is in a secular uptrend, ditto for S&P which include a RE company.
This ST decline is a very good opportunity to acquire homes at reasonable price, I have patiently waiting for the price to come down from May, so far not low enough to take action. Prices are still higher than what I have bought last year.
New construction in Austin metro are mostly MPC, I guess similar elsewhere.
this is in neighborhood my friends bought their home, itâs a nice area.
8.8% drop has already happened in the minds of everyone on this forum.
Big whoop. I think 20% will occur in many markets. Not a big deal. Inventory is still below 500k Nationally. Check out Altos research for a great weekly YouTube video. Only sellers that bought in this spring will be hurt⌠a tiny few. Buyers will have to wait. Those waiting for a 50% drop will the SOL ⌠unless they are looking at the $10m plus homes. There may be some white elephants that will give up and dump their trophy homes. Like Buffetâs house that sat over priced for years
Warren Buffettâs Laguna Beach, California, home has finally sold for about $7.5 million , according to representatives of Villa Real Estate. Buffett first listed the property for sale in early 2017. My town is on piped propane, not natural gas. Usually thatâs a downside. Maybe for the time being not so much. Propane follows the price of oil which has been falling as of late.
Never heard of piped propane. I have mine delivered by truck. Donât use much. Keep my thermostat at 65.
Iâd never heard of piped propane until I moved here.
My thermostat is in the mid 50âs in winter. I donât have zone heating and my snakes donât breed without a hibernation cycle. I have a really nice zippered wool sweater. Austrian military surplus with a colorful crest. Pure wool. Weighs about 5 pounds.
I was just walking on Castro in MV downtown. Right in the middle of the sidewalk, I saw a homeless white male probably addict and high, shagging in broad daylight. Our liberal people including kids were grudgingly walking past. Bay Area is being flushed down the toilet.
Youâre not moving anyways.
We can watch it all burn down, together. How wonderful.

Here you go:
Hereâs a recent sale in my hood. Itâs a single wide manufactured in 1969. In a park where no renters or AirBnB are allowed. $350 a month space rent. Sold fast. Must have been the granite countertops. Ad and picture seemed strangely incongruous.
The Worldâs Hottest Housing Markets Are Facing a Painful Reset
Frothy property markets are poised for double-digit price declines as consumers face mounting financial pressures.
Australia used to require all mortgages to be adjustable rate. Iâm not sure if they still do. That way their interest rate changes have a far more immediate impact on the economy.
yes they still do. Friend bought a home in Sydney this yr and is now scared about change in rate soon.
.
Same friend that bought Liberty Hill? Your friend(s) seem to be all over the place. I prefer New Zealand.
Btw, many Singaporeans bought properties in Australia and New Zealand.
We canât have more than 1 friend ?
