Secular inflation is here

4% revenue growth and 44% inventory growth. That’s insane. They clearly thought revenue was going to grow far more. That doesn’t happen because “supply chain issues” are disrupting your supply. You have excess supply not a shortage. I guess discounted Nike stuff will be flooding stores soon.

Rent in higher frequency private data is decelerating fast. But the slower CPI data still shows rapid increases.

But Fed’s U turn is coming soon. Just like Bank of E chickened out. Now inflation will accelerate even more and Fed will be forced to Paul Volker all asset bubbles.

There’s always a villain(this time it’s the oil companies), however the state government is never responsible.

I wouldn’t call it fun  but I think I’m fairly good at it and only getting better.
I’m just not used to cooking with a a wok for 6/7 hours a day but I’m getting the hang out of it. Everyone is pretty nice considering the grind we’re put through with low pay and tough conditions. But If other people can hack it, I should be able to do it for 2/3/4 days a week.

I just need to do more yoga to stretch and strengthen out those muscles!

California hates poor people. We make everything so expensive for the poorest of the poor. $6/7 gas does not change a single aspect of my life and those of us here but it hurts my extended family members/ my restaurant coworkers/the working poor badly. It’s not just expensive gas right since it’s on TOP of everything else being super expensive. It’s out of control…

But it seems like our electorate are perfectly okay with it…

His approval ratings in the state are higher than they were last year — exceeding 50 percent — and he is running ahead of his Republican opponent, state Sen. Brian Dahle, by a 2-1 margin. That’s after a recall last year that he beat by nearly 24 percentage points.

Austin Costco sells 93  not 91 :-1: Expect higher octane for climate-change State.

CA min wage is around $15. In TX it’s $7. So gas price as a percentage of min wage turns out about the same in both states.

You manage to turn a bad news into good news creatively.

That’s the true measure of prices. How many hours of work you need to do to buy that thing.

Zero. I am unemployed.

I paid $3.45 for 87 in Marana yesterday but heard rumors of shortages of anything but the higher grades in Tucson. Some places near Phoenix are over $4.

Yeah, I guess that could be a factor if you’re one of the 3% of Texans earning minimum wage.

So you just admitted a 2x higher income in CA doesn’t actually buy you anything more.

If you spend 100% of your income on gas then sure.

Yeah, because minimum wage people find rent, food, and utilities so much more affordable in CA. Gas is a material expense for that income group.
