If retire at 50 without home(Singapore) and moving from USA to Singapore, what’s the FIRE amount required?
Too expensive to do Singapore honestly. You can’t just go there you know. You have to invest a ton of money, millions in either a company or business. That is why Malaysia is very popular now with the MM2H program. Yes, you have to buy a property now, but depending on which plan/tier you go for it can be fairly reasonable.
One never knows with these polls but for shopping Seoul supposedly beats out both Singapore and Tokyo.
Meh, at our age, shopping doesn’t mean a whole lot. I am consciously downsizing everything. First my collectibles like valuable comic books, gold chains, and then my Rolex. I want to have nothing practically before I then continue selling off all properties to the bare minimum. Lean and mean…
Yeah, family Christmas is getting like that too. Amazon gift cards for the nephews. Books for everyone else. In the last 7 years two family members have passed. All one has to do is get stuck with settling an estate and the downsizing bug takes hold.
Sorry to hear. Same here, realities of life keep reminding us to really enjoy ourselves before it is too late.
I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving!
