Details are not important. The State wants to give money to EVs . Probably will start buying Teslas for giveaways and government use.
Not necessarily Tesla but they should change their fleet to Hybrids or EVs. We got a surplus now right so spend it quick before it disappears to somewhere else.
Liberals are taking over. They want to salve their guilt over global warming. They will force us all into EVs . One percent of cars are EV. Maybe 20% in ten years. Huge 20x growth potential. Room for everyone making EVs. Although personally I would sell to GM or Toyota if I were Musk.

The same county that charged me $400 and gave me 4 months of grief over cutting down a fir with at least an 8% lean right at my house is now giving money away to people earning 169k - so they can buy Tesla’s. This kind of insanity is why I moved.
My old boss got a model S and is really happy with it. His wife is the main driver of it. She mostly uses it to take kids to/from school and shopping. They have a normal car for weekend trips.
Sounds like that model S is becoming their “normal” car. Their ICE car is the odd one out where they are using it for their one off trips.
I have driven the S and was impressed. I couldn’t fit into the original sports car. It was a joke. The 3 is ugly. I hope the pickup is a hit.
