Many would not have noticed GM stock is coming up after results. GM strike is almost over, results announced today and a good dividend payer presently (or recently) at its lowest price.
Lot of dividend payers are progressing fine including GM.
Tesla’s proprietary technology is done…CATL is bigger than Tesla gigafactory and supplier of many car companies…

Um, so they’ll close the giga factory and write-off the investment? That was a huge investment.
They won’t close Giga-factory as this is for USA cars, but technology will be leaked easily from CATL as they are the biggest supplier of battery to GM, Honda, Euro makers…etc.
Tesla’s innovation will be leaked after sometime unless Tesla keeps two different technology one for USA and another for China.
Other countries do Not take EVs seriously. US? Tesla gets a ton of hate here even it though it’s all American using American power.

You are totally misunderstanding what is going on…
Tesla is having CATL make cells for their cars built in China, probably for the reason to avoid copying their latest tech. CATL will use cell chemistries that are more well known and probably a bit worse performing. But the massive cost advantage of being built in China means high gross margins even if they have to stuff more cells in a pack to get the right specs.
Meanwhile, Tesla has lined up acquisitions to start making their own battery cells with higher energy density and cheaper. That is not going to China.

As long as Tesla IP is not shared, it is good for TSLA.
