Tesla’s trillion dollar valuation is fast approaching

No dispute ! Real Corona virus impact.

My TSLA average buy price was $423+, it is hard to get to that level even it dips.

Balance, I have GLD & NEE…look at it.

When TSLA ($650) and AAPL ($304), I will buy both…Let us see how it is.

State department decision to bring back those Americans from the cruise ship changes the entire fundamentals - throw in uncertainty which stock market hates. Now we don’t know whether there would be Covid-19 epidemic in USA. Just because they are tested negatives don’t mean they don’t carry the virus! Tests used may not be conclusive. Virus is new, tests are old testing methods which we don’t know how reliable, yet to develop the appropriate testing method. Load up surgical masks, medical supplies, canned food and beverages, NOW.

I can think of this, but I do not what will happen practically next week. Lot of guesses.

It is not about politics, but containment of Virus (There is no medicine avl now) spread with in China is big issue. China reacts fast, but impact is high at Chinese economy, China supply chain (whole world mfr depends) network, many people will be unable to attend work until medicine to cure in place.

Domino effect of USA and Euro, Japan…etc economy…

No further major results are due, everything known by now…

Then, market went way up during santa claus rally.

Media/news creates more and more scary news like downturn/recession, driving away retail investors…etc.

Then, market over reaction until all crazy buys (like SPCE) settles !!

Same TSLA and AAPL rule of SMA-50 to SMA-200 applies to S&P 500 too, that will correct somewhere in between.

I hope you know this by now.

  1. If a person is affected, the symptoms will show after 14 days, not before. He/She will have no clue during the 14 days.

  2. During these 14 days, he/she may unknowingly transmit the virus to unlimited neighbors/contacts and they will also know after their 14 days.

Once summer comes the virus may not spread (may be killed by heat over the space) or we have to wait until immediate identification and cure medicine.

This is scary as 1) Immediate identification is not there 2) Cure medicine is not there.

Because of this issue, the quarantine 14 days and release them when no symptoms noticed.

Someone posted this. Even after S&P down, TSLA is strong on its price, looks like big buyers like Bridgewater joined…

@Jil posting about TA. He uses MACD and RSI which are lagging indicators, is why he thinks trading is reactive. He would think otherwise has he uses Dow theory or EWT. Btw, I don’t think closely at $1 above $900 is a bullish sign - I would have preferred $899, we’ll see on Monday.

I already said “Someone Posted”, I won’t be revealing my algorithm logic !

You completely misunderstood. He not referring to you.

“But relatively few buyers in the United States seem interested in battery electrics, and industry watchers think many buyers are early adopters buying Teslas out of an interest in the brand or an interest in cutting edge technology, rather than out of an interest in owning an electric car.”

That aligns with articles that have said model 3 sales in the US have dropped off significantly, and Tesla is now exporting them to other countries.

That blows up the whole unlimited demand and only constrained by manufacturing capacity claim.

We all know elt’s feelings about EVs but what about you Marcus? Will your next car be an EV?

Buying Tesla EVs is high taste.
Buying other brands including Porsche is cheapo.
Not interested in buying an EV until force upon e.g. no more petrol car to buy.
Btw, how long can the battery lasts? 5 or 10 or 20 years?

I honestly barely drive now, since I commute by bus. The house has an EV car charger. It would make sense for me, but I doubt it. It’s hard to say though. With driving so few miles, it’ll be awhile before I replace my car. By then, the selection might be mostly EVs.

I’ve driven so little since moving up here. I walked to work the first 18 months, then van pool, and now bus. I used to drive a ways on weekends for the gym. Now I have everything I need to train in my basement.

Why does it matter if it last 20 years?

What’s the point of being multi-millionaires if you can’t even upgrade just for fun every 5 years or so?

Think 5 years is reasonable amount of time. Not too wasteful but not too conservative.

No weekend hiking trips? Take advantage of the mountains and scenery?

I’ve never been into that stuff. The more you do the more similar it all seems. Hiking is a fancy term people use to make walking outside seem more extreme. There are dog park trips. That thing is over 30 acres and has a river going through it. Dogs are much tougher than humans in terms of going in cold water.

:grinning:

We breathe every second too. Of course is largely similar. What you should do is focus on the minute difference, what liberal arts like to say nuances and subtlety. You would notice the trees, plants, grasses and people you see are different throughout the year. When I was single, I use to walk mindless in park or just along any roads, paying attention to the grasses and trees, and chat with people who I met along the way. Now I walk with my wife every evening. Same route but always slightly different. The minute differences is LIFE :grinning:
