That would make @Jil jealous :wink:

Not jealous, but I am speechless by the way WQJ proved to me that how buy and hold wins long run.
I would say he is the warren buffet of this forum !

I can not exceed him even with my own algorithm (I think so) !

Now, I am limping with 1000 CUKs, bought around $11, expecting the dividends may cover up a lot on return. Hindsight, I should have grabbed 10000 shares !

Other than buy n hold, is bet BIG. Not puny amount like $11k on 1000 CUKs. Bet $100k to $500k.

Bet BIG or go home :slight_smile:

what’s the next bet big stocks under $30?

I will definitely put double or triple if CUK comes down.

In short, price $11, dividend 18% may cover up the original purchase price in 4 or 5 years. The appreciation is free now as long as they are able to maintain dividends.

CUK I limited as I spread the risk with other REITs.

I spread the risks with many REITs IVR, NLY, MFA…lot of low priced 5% above dividend payers.

These dividend payers (20% of portfolio) are not for trade ( as trade is limited only for SPY/QQQ funds )

Above all, added MRNA and BNTX etc

I bet big on TSLA in 2018 and 2019.

I put all my retirement accounts 100% in TSLA and most of my standard account.

What a bet…

When will all TSLA investors going to invite us poor folks to an outlandish party?

@wuqijun
@Zeapelido

Well @jil bet is too puny to be called a TSLA investor, otherwise I’m also an investor in TSLA.

I admit my mistake with TSLA, knowingly left the boat.

My net worth is fine, nothing special, as I didn’t invest in BA real estate in early 2010’s! :roll_eyes: But at least it’s liquid.

wuqijun can host the pool party, I will bring the pizza.

Who is bringing their Tesla? Even WQ does not own one. I could buy one. But if I was going to buy a third vehicle that I would hardly ever drive I think It will be a 2006 Z06 Corvette. $20-30k with a good chance of appreciation

Last time meet, BA_lurker came with his model 3, now there may be few more…

Who doesn’t own a Tesla Model 3 yet?

An urban toy for liberal guilt over dying polar bears. A vehicle absolutely useless to me. Besides I am supporting the seals( the polar bears favorite prey)
BTW, BAlurker was very disappointed in the 3 quality and poor Tesla service

I am in love with electric cars and own the stock but haven’t yet bought a Tesla for this reason. The model X was an incredible opportunity to come out with a capable, practical, fully electric SUV but instead we got the gimmicky self-opening front and falcon wing doors. Most owners have to turn the fronts off because they self-open when parallel parked with passing traffic and almost get ripped off.

The base model 3 is a very solid vehicle if you want a small sedan as is the base model S for a mid to full size luxury sedan. Model Y is too small, too expensive and not a real SUV. EVs and plug-ins from other manufacturers are heavily discounted and still get the $7500 tax credit. For the time being, buy the stock, not the car (although I do have a cybertruck reservation…we’ll see).

My point exactly. EVs don’t appeal to the vast majority of buyers who prefer SUVs and pickups. The Bolt is only $37k and has a higher range than the 3. Nobody wants the Bolt.

Recently, I took my bolt (was 200 miles avl at start) from Bay Area (home) to Los Angeles, I just stopped once at Paso Robles for charging 40 mins. Since it was lunch period, we took a walk and had our lunch in a restaurant.

With Tesla, it is much faster and better mileage.

This is what I want. $112k
It can crab walk. My wife wants it for parallel parking

With all the incentives in CA you can basically get a Bolt for free at the moment. Same for a base Nissan Leaf. As much as I wouldn’t want to drive either of them (too small/not safe enough, and I have too many kids) it’s hard to compete against a free car.
