Congrats!
Yes! Time flies…
TSLA copies Apple approach as EV market matures…
Future share price of TSLA would depend on FSD and Optimus, maybe energy too.
Is Tesla doomed riding the Trump train. I love how the liberal woke crowd that uses owning a Tesla to signal its sanctimonious purity is having a meltdown.
EV sales are headed down everywhere except China thanks to BYD’s better technology and a population dense country that makes EV’s a sensible means of personal transportation. Think Tesla is in trouble? Look at how much money Ford, VW and Audi are losing on the things. Getting rid of the EV mandate will be the final nail in the coffin.
Bullish narrative for TSLA has changed to FSD/ Robotaxi, energy storage and Optimus.
Trump definitely wants to get rid of the mandates and the credits. I am surprised Musk supports that. Meanwhile Teslas that were $60k 3 years ago are selling used for $20-30 k… massive depreciation loss. And with PGE at $.48/kwh it’s actually cheaper to buy gas for a hybrid than it is to charge a Tesla…Tesla has a great calculator to compare its cost to recharge vs gasoline.
No matter how Musk tries to change the narrative only his true believers swallow his bullshit. And now they all think he’s a Nazi… I bet he quits his government job sooner than later.
California alone is trying to keep Tesla afloat with $6gas vs $3 nationwide. But PGE is killing EVs .
I am meeting a solar guy today. Unfortunately now the PGE pays almost nothing for credits on electricity sent back them I might have buy batteries also. California is determined to bankrupt its citizens. $3 propane. $1000/m for electricity. $1000m for fire insurance… A determined attack on our rural communities.
The bullish narrative for Tesla has been changing for as long as I can remember. Sooner or later the music will stop.
My home insurance has popped up to $2700 a year. Not too outrageous. Mostly because we don’t just accept that we’re in a fire prone area or blame climate change. We proactively protect ourselves.
Solar makes little sense here unless one is a huge electricity user. For the average homeowner it’s barely cash positive when depreciation is considered. EV’s make no sense.
BTW - I used to love visiting Elkhorne Slough when I lived in CA. Now it’s contaminated with heavy metals because of an industrial scale battery fire at a solar storage facility. So much for CA’s environmental creds.
I just met with a solar installer. Apparently there are cheaper and better batteries than Tesla powerwalls. Basically they are about $4000 plus insulation. Ballpark $30,000 for a 10k system with two 7kw batteries… including inverters switches and gear that allows the system to run during power outages and at night. Don’t need to use much juice from PGE at $.42-.68/kwh.
About the same price as my 2005 5kw system with no batteries I put in 20 year’s ago in RWC. PGE greed has forced the use of batteries.
My current bill is $7.5k per year. Farm property on a well with a pool plus three units and lots of ac
Payoff in 4 years.
Tesla power wall $10k
Payoff in 4 years is crazy good!
Elon has been saying “self driving will come next year” for the last 10 years. His latest prediction is self driving taxi will launch in Austin in June. So in 4 months we’ll know if that comes true or not.
Tesla’s Optimus bots already has very stiff competition in China, and today Meta announced they are getting into the game too.
Tesla’s sales already plummeted in Europe. Everybody there thinks Elon’s a Nazi. US sales will tank soon. Elon’s approval rating is now -10 points. People used to virtue signal with a Tesla. Now Tesla owners are seen as Nazi sympathizers.
- More Americans view Elon Musk very or somewhat unfavorably (52%) than favorably (42%), and his popularity has fallen in recent weeks. This share who say they have a very unfavorable opinion of Musk increased 7 percentage points in the past week, to 43% from 36%. This shift was especially pronounced among Independents and younger adults
Not that I trust such polls but it only goes to show Tesla never had a viable business plan or product long term. I imagine even an Economist/YouGov poll would rate China lower than Musk. Does that keep anyone from shopping at Walmart?
Another Elon baby just dropped. This is what? Elon’s 23rd kid or something? By the 12th baby mama?
And Elon is not married to any of these women.
Gives me a strong religious cult vibe.
