Well, good. Sort of. We either need a fine with teeth in it or we need to go back to the protections for pre-existing conditions built into to 1997 HIPAA law which worked better that what we have under ACA. But we can’t let anyone get coverage for an existing condition. No different than forcing home insurers to cover losses that happened before the policy was in place.
I remember the huge tragedy of democrats passing Obamacare in such a hurry. Then, we saw the republicans crying aloud for 7 years of whatever bad it had in it. But more troublesome is to find out the cry babies never had a replacement at hand. And they are doing the same thing, everything in a rush without any considerations. Hypocrite much?
But, the problem is to see Twhitler threatening anybody opposing it. Wow, what a genuine tyrant! I can’t imagine Obama saying such words, those armed groups threatening with insurrection if Hillary won would be surrounding Washington by now.
And the stock market players? I believe they now know a liar as they see one in the white house.
The Republican proposal would allow insurers to charge older customers five times as much as younger ones, while cutting the amount of tax credits for many. A last-minute revision by House GOP leaders may allow the Senate to provide additional tax credits for baby boomers but there are no guarantees.
“While it’s unclear how the (revision) will actually change the subsidies, it is almost certain that the combination of those two factors is going to result in a pretty meaningful increase in costs” for pre-retirement Americans, said labor economist Craig Garthwaite of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
"The young and the rich are going to be the winners," Garthwaite said. The GOP plan “transfers resources from the poor and the sick to the healthy, young and rich.”
REST IN PEACE TRUMPCARE, **SO LONG TWHITLER!..

By so long I didn’t mean you had to go to another round of golf you worthless president!
It took Obama 13 months to get Obamacare passed.
And republicans what? 7 1/2 years for nothing? No ideas, no plans, all they wanted is to obstruct, plain and simple.
I can’t imagine myself as a construction person bidding on a project, being defeated, and for 7+ years I keep telling the owner of the project how awful the other guy is. But after those years, the boss says “OK boy, here you are, put the words in your mouth, not in your feet”. And I fail miserably to present a better plan. After 7 years of bitching! Wow!
Mr, the art of the deal boy has been defeated, and with tail in legs is going again not to work on the white house but to spend another $3 million on his vacation spot, with all the money going into his pocket. Cha-chin!
GOP can’t find a better proposal because Obamacare is originally a plan from the right. Back when the young Obama admin still fantasized about bipartisan support. The left’s plan has always been single-payer, not a Frankenstein hybrid of private and public.
I actually hope the GOP passes Trumpcare, and bear the full force of public anger in 2018. We need to sweep out these bums. Trump doesn’t care. He was originally for single-payer universal coverage long before he’s against it. I doubt Trump even knows what’s in Ryan’s plan, except it’s a “win” if he can pass something major in the first 100 days. You put a single payer plan in front of him and he will sign it just as happily. That man is a con.
The poor cry baby is in retreat. His signature deal, for what he cried, puffed and puffed all year long last year has collapsed as a sad reminder that talk is cheap. None the less the sad losers in the GOP being tea partied at the last stroke.
Evil eating evil. Who would have thought seeing the GOP being consumed by its own ego!
Now, as a clear sign of all bad times, they are stuck with Trumpcare. Because as they promised to kill Obama’s baby, they are left with the baby on their hands, now they have to nurse it, feed it, or kill it. It’s their baby Trumpcare now. Next!
Neither plan addresses the root cause. Americans live horribly unhealthy lives and consume tons of care. Arguing about who should pay for premiums is just to generate headlines that appeal to their bases.
Because this country is made out of feeding crap to its people. From Pharma, to Korn Flakes and so on. A pill worth $4 for diabetes in India is worth $1,000 over here.
Preventive healthcare should be a priority. But, we are dealing with people, and we, most of us, wait until we are kicking the can to go and see a doctor.
I still make my opinion that this is a disgraceful type of country when we don’t have a universal healthcare. Others do, and they are third world countries.
First thing to do? Get those old and beat up dinosaurs out of Washington. Then put in people, young people with new ideas. For the people, and only for the people. That should the modus operandi. Kick the lobbyists from the white house. Let every law be debated as stand alone, no pork in the barrel.
Trump didn’t give a crap about healthcare reform…He let Ryan self-immolate and now can move on…Healthcare is a loser issue…He wanted it off his plate, asap…
“We will win so much that you will be tired of winning” said “Mr. Art of the deal” during the campaign.
I just watched a few minutes of his pale face. He was so mellow, so down. The funny part he was in an orthodox or Greek church or something like that as if he is a Christian of some sort. Thanks God they didn’t ask him to read his favorite chapter from the bible, he would’ve crapped in his pants because he doesn’t know a single one.
The deplorable just don’t get it. He hasn’t visited a church since he was born.
Healthcare is more complex than most people think.
What will be the tax reform? Does Ryan have a good idea on tax?
The “reform” ended up being garbage anyway. Both parties are owned by big pharma. They won’t do anything to lower healthcare spending as a percent of GDP. They won’t address the top cause of spending which is sky high rates of chronic diseases which are preventable. Both sides will kick around who should pay the bill without changing the size of the bill.
Yeah, he does: Border Adjustment Tax. Total dumpster fire.
If he’s the best policy wonk GOP has to offer, I fear for its future.
I feel better about tax reform. It’s good that healthcare had a fast failure.
Trump already gave a warning some days ago about healthcare is too complicated
