Why Trump won

He forgot to ask Trump about it. Even his latest Post Office hotel is under litigation by not paying his contractors. He is like that metal bite in the ocean, shinny, but lethal.

He should ask all billionaires in that club, they will testify Twhitler is a fiasco. He is like me telling you guys on how to invest your money. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I forgot to add: Nobody, at least not a billionaire in his right mind would waste his time as a president. Unless as we are seeing, it’s all about making the big deal on the backs of the poor people.

Ivanka is taking a place in the white house. She wasn’t sworn in for that position, she doesn’t have a clearance, but she was next to Merkel? And the Japanese guy? What the hell? Who is she to be sitting next to presidents?

" At the very least, Donald Trump derailed the Socialist train and bought us precious time."
This.

Make political jobs a volunteer job without any pay, no pensions and no special healthcare.

Politicians should not be a paid job.

Politicians mostly do not depend on job ! Do you think Trump earns money as president than previously? Take one by one, look at it. They have enough background, not to depend on job, having leisure time, resources to work on public service !

Why congress members are not accepting changes on ACA or medical reform? With some changes each one of them getting affected !

Hillary/Bill Clinton depended on government salary. Their foundation and speech wealth comes after bill’s presidency.

Most of the federal congressmen, state congressmen, city council members have no other income other than government salary.

Elected officers should work on a volunteer basis and should not have a pension.

In Kentucky, accepting an Obamacare lite could mean losing votes. It’s a divide of the nation.

With this income, do they? Obama gets royalty from books… Many congress people have lot of investment returns and have business income.

Congress is exempt from insider trading. They can all short WFC the day before they announce a congressional investigation.

Why would someone as rich as Issa want to be a lowly congressman. .He can afford to own a few…lol

Congress people have no power, no prestige and are generally hated…He would be better off being mayor, governor or even a county supervisor…In congress you have to spend all your time travelling from your district to DC and fundraising …a job from hell

The least popular president would still win against Clinton if the election is held today.

France’s Le Pen also won the first round today.

Worldwide political trend has changed

I thought Le Pen came in second after Macron, anyhow they both advance to the final round. I am not too confident that Le Pen will prevail though based on the results of the Netherlands election. The recent attack should have accelerated her momentum but it didn’t. Anyway we shall see.

Right. Le Pen didn’t win. Judging from Euro’s reaction people are expecting a Macron win in the 2nd round. We will see.

Why are people still obsessing over Clinton? Trump won and he’s the president, period. We should judge Trump on what Trump did, not some hypothetical mashup against this or that. And the fact is that Trump is the most unpopular president since the start of polling.

Paradoxically Trump has done more to shore up support for Obamacare than Obama ever could.

That survey was done back in February. I suspect support is even higher today. Meanwhile, a record number of Americans want the federal government to do more, not less.

Trump is turning the country to the left.

We had two options. Complaining obsessively about Trump has a clear implication the person complaining thinks Clinton would have been better.

The trend is moving to the center from the left, moving to the right from the left.

Neither Macron nor Le Pen is from any mainstream political parties. It’s for sure that France will have a president who will lead France to a different direction. The big losers are the leftist, no question about that.

Macron is a centrist and proposing big corporate tax cut, just like Trump. Le Pen is also copying Trump on immigration.

Trump model has become the winning formula in western countries.

Trump did not start a new party, Macron did and may win the election. Trump was a businessman, Macron was a politician but now a centrist. Seems that most mainstream parties decide to support Macron.

"His campaign promises include:

A €50bn (£43bn; $53bn) public investment plan to cover job-training, exit from coal and shift to renewable energy, infrastructure and modernisation

Big cut in corporation tax and more leeway for companies to renegotiate 35-hour working week

Cut in jobless rate to 7% (now 9.7%)

Ban on mobile phone use in schools for under-15s and a €500 culture pass for 18 year olds"

Democrats say their own data reveals specifically why Clinton lost—and it complicates any attempt to rationalize the bizarre results as a case of racist white men unleashed.

That’s because Democrats say the real reason the election went the way it did was because of the number of voters who cast their ballots for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 and switched their allegiance to Trump in 2016.

“We have to make sure we learn the right lesson from 2016, that we don’t just draw the lesson that makes us feel good at night, make us sleep well at night,” Democratic strategist Matt Canter said of the findings.

The report came on the eve of remarks by Clinton, who said she would have won the election if not for FBI Director James Comey revealing that she was under investigation by the agency over leaked emails from a private server she used while serving as secretary of state.

According to a report by McClatchy, the so-called “Obama-Trump voters” accounted for a two-thirds majority of the reasons Clinton ultimately lost the electoral college vote. McClatchy says several members of Clinton’s campaign team have reached a similar conclusion based on the same data.

Interesting for those thinking ahead to 2020 is that, according to Canter, turning out more of the Democratic base won’t be enough to sway the next election in their favor. Instead, the party will need to win over more moderate but conservative-leaning white, middle-class voters that helped Trump win swing states like Pennsylvania and Michigan.

“This idea that Democrats can somehow ignore this constituency and just turn out more of our voters, the math doesn’t work,” Canter said. “We have to do both.”

The good news is that Obama did well with these voters in two elections, meaning these voters are less ideological and more likely to vote for the candidate best aligned with their economic and personal interests.

If the dems had put in the same effort pre election instead of post election they would have won…But lets be real Hillary was the problem. . Couldn’t beat Obama or Trump (who was arguably the worst canidate in history)…She is a loser…And if the Dems want to win again they need to replace their old losers with winners…Feinstein, Pelosi, Hillary, Biden, Bernie. …old tired losers. .New blood is needed. .And no Californians…That means Harris and Newsome are out…Someone from the Midwest would be best…California is not a player as long as the electoral college is around…

2020 is probably out of the question. Dem needs to find some hotshot and cultivate him or her within 7 years

But with media constantly doing anti-service, it’s going to be a challenge

Reagan was from California and Trump from New York. California’s presidential hope should be in a young Republican, probably not a career politician, likely a movie star or business leader.

Bernie Sander’s American dream, coming soon to a California city near you.

From the Link below:

These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger. Who’s the banana republic now?

Send Bernie to South America and have him run for President there. I think he will do well governing those banana republics…
