Same with wildfires in CA.
Most urban cities in Cali are not impacted to the point that all residents are advised to evacuate.
Yeah but the urban areas have their own human-centric problems.
BTW here’s a pic from a few nights ago of a controlled burn a few miles from me.
Some places at least try to get out ahead of natural disasters.
Human centric problems I can deal with and in theory are fixable. Mother Nature bearing down on you EVERY YEAR is a non starter. People are simply dumb to be owning in Florida. And, if you can’t get insurance and self-funding, good luck.
Already down to a 2.
Those folk likely lose power less often than folk in CA. They certainly pay a lot less for it.
Uh, hurricane season is for another TWO months THIS YEAR!!! Is their property insurance cheaper or even placeable? I don’t think so. We have insurance at least.
And if you want to argue trends, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist or Realestateforums poster to know that the waters there are WARMING, meaning MORE hurricanes to come. Like I said, morons who decide Florida is a good, stable place to move to. And the sad part is, YOU and I pay for it through increased insurance claims as such. The South should be evacuated, period!!!
