It is like the light rail in San Jose. It is on the honor system but they have fare inspectors that board the trains at random to see if you paid. If they give you a ticket its much more expensive then paying the fare.

I’m honestly not sure. I haven’t used it, but I walk by one of the stations. There’s a fab reader then stairs that go directly to the train. There’s no gate, turnstile, or anything.

It is amazing the environmental approval held up the project which is supposed to improve the environment by taking cars off the road.
I wonder how far over budget it will be. I’m guessing at least 3x the original budget.

Lol, that was supposedly close to opening 3 years ago. $230M per mile to build it, and it’ll lose money every day it operates. Yeah, public transit is great.

Caltrain and ACE train also take a heavy subsidy. So does light rail in San Jose Area.
