iPhone SuperCycle. Dan’s price target is $300. As of today close, AAPL needs $6 more dollar to hit $4T market cap.
My sentiments too. M4 series are too good. IMHO, is good for 10 years for most consumers and professionals. Apple needs to do something different… think different!
Apple is ramping up research and development of its own AI chip to reduce its reliance on third-party developers…
This has been going on since Apple acquired PA Semi. Apple wants to optimize performance per watt as opposed to chip manufacturers (Intel, QCOM, NVDA)’s goal maximizing performance. I expect every semi components would be designed in-house eventually.

Another upstart twisted facts into a plausible story as an evidence that he is good at workflow automation. Anyhoo, IMHO, all those shortcomings addressed by Hosain Rahman are worked on by Apple.
IMHO, Apple should enter the PC market with M series chip. Apple chips are 4 years ahead of NVDA in this segment. Should think different and stop worrying that this move would cannibalize the Mac market. Not entering is allowing NVDA to dominate the PC market easily. NVDA is making a CPU and a fully integrated CPU + GPU + AI chip (similar to M series chip).
Apple is too timid and conservative. Don’t be another Motorola. Either sell M series chips to PC manufacturers or work with MSFT to allow Macs to run Windows natively. M4 is too good that most consumers won’t be upgrading their Macs from here for about 10 years, unit sales would decline dramatically few years from now. Think different.
No firm opinion on whether to enter Android market with A series chip.
Mark continues his BS… not that his reasoning is entirely wrong but he wants to do/is doing the same for his own platforms (Facebook, instagram, meta glasses, metaverse,…)

Joe doesn’t want to be attached to one company’s product. Then why is he attached as an American only, to a wife only? Does he mean he would support polygamy and multi-citizenship?
Note: Didn’t do any DD as to whether he keeps changing wives or have many affairs.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently said that Apple will outfit the iPhone 17 Air with in-house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips, as well as its own bespoke cellular modem. That’ll be a first for the company, which has been trying for years to develop its own modem in an effort to ditch Qualcomm.
The current trend for manufacturers is to do in-house design of whole gadget and its components:
Apple - iPhone and all its chips
Tesla - Cars
NVDA - Datacenter

The iPhone maker is instead focusing on how powerful a model it can get to work directly on its devices, thus saving on the need to spend heavily on AI servers.
In that context, DeepSeek has some promising news for Apple. It demonstrated a series of smaller versions of its new R1 model with parameter counts—a measure of an AI model’s size and complexity—ranging from 1.5 billion to 70 billion, as opposed to the original’s 671 billion parameters. So far, iPhones have been shown to be able to run models with around 3 billion parameters locally on the device.
The more AI computing that can be done on the “edge” or directly on a user’s device rather than connecting to a server, the better it should be for Apple.

Apple insistence to run AI locally on device with minimum to no internet access proved to be correct.
Apple can copy the distillation and reinforcement learning methods from Deep Seek to run powerful AI modeling on iPhones, iPads and Macs. Technically, not sure is for both training and inference… not au fait enough
Apple today announced financial results for its fiscal 2025 first quarter ended December 28, 2024. The Company posted quarterly revenue of $124.3 billion, up 4 percent year over year, and quarterly diluted earnings per share of $2.40, up 10 percent year over year.
Other than lower sale of iPhone in China, results is ok.
…
Installed base continues to increase mean many future new customers (those who are using 2nd hand Apple products, sale of 2nd hand products won’t show up as revenue for Apple). Despite the lengthening of replacement cycle, sale of iPhones are still relatively flat means there are many new iPhone customers.
Any glasses need tethering to another device is no-go.
