Apple’s China iPhone shipments fall 35% in November: Credit Suisse

https://www.google.com/amp/s/finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/apples-china-iphone-shipments-fall-150246098.html

Who is Akanksha Rana in Bengaluru? Who wrote the title?

Total iPhone shipments in China in the September-November period dropped 7.4% from a year earlier…

Cabral also wrote that Apple would have a tough time pushing through tariff-related price increases to U.S. consumer if the 15% tariffs on billions in Chinese-made consumer goods come into effect on Dec. 15.

Sorry scaremonger, reality turns out good for AAPL.
Btw, this phase one deal is much ado about nothing. This last tariff if implemented hurt USA as much as China and China needs those porks and soya bean. F… waste of resources for both sides to haggle.

Shares of the company fell more than 1% to 267.67 in early trading.

Others, including former head Apple designer Jony Ive, have expressed fears that iPhones may be too good — and people can’t put them down.

A good problem. Just sell them cheaper to maintain similar annual unit sale, no need for annual unit sale growth so long installed base keeps growing.

Siri won’t understand. Try Google or Alexa.

So many Apple products this Christmas…
2 11s , 2 11 pro Maxes , 1 AirPod and 1 AirPod pro . You’re welcome Apple.

I must be traveling in the wrong circles. I’ve only seen one 11 Max Pro in the wild here. AirPod pro is everywhere though.

Change your specs  Get ready some $ to load up at the bottom of the impending consolidation.

However, the AirPod’s run may be short-lived, said Sacconaghi, who compared the product’s trajectory to the iPad’s rapidly slowing growth four years after it launched. As more iPhone users buy AirPods, there are fewer potential customers, according to Sacconaghi.

“Given AirPods’ extraordinarily steep adoption curve and rapid saturation of the iPhone installed base, we see a dramatic deceleration in AirPods revenue growth by 2021 or 22, to single digit growth rates or possibly lower,” Sacconaghi wrote.

Apple AirPods will work with almost any Android smartphone that has Bluetooth connectivity.

Why analyst want to limit to iPhone users? Won’t it more like iPods rather than iPads?

Also, lithium battery lasts about 3-5 years, worse case, upgrade cycle is 5 years. So instead of new sale dominates the unit sale, you have replacement sale dominates after 3-5 years.

Don’t thinking is starting a new business. Probably part of Project Titan.

After a long story, Neil claims that AAPL is overvalued due to the increasingly popular passive investing. One glaring flaw is market cap didn’t shoot up by $500B, only about $200B if you count from 2018’s ATH. So below reasons quoted by WS are valid,

…the items that analysts, pundits, and the media positioned as catalysts for this dramatic change (Apple Services, iPhone sales rebound, 5G, improving U.S. / China trade sentiment)…

The base-case valuation of $350 is ‘achievable in 2020,’ the firm wrote, suggesting upside of nearly 21%. Loup said a $400 share price is within reach "sometime in 2021.”

Are you saying Apple rev and income will grow again in 2021?
