I mentioned overpopulated based on house price. When an out of nowhere place like MH has bidding wars, for sure more humans competing for lesser homes to buy. Even in NY 1 hr away from Manhattan, in places like Hicksville, you can buy decent SFH while renting basement (2 ppl) for less than 700k 3 yrs back. I said bad thing based on how CA haters keep showing losing population statistic all the time.

It says something about a state when the only way to stay stable is to attract people from foreign countries to make up for all the nationals leaving. And now CA canāt even seem to do that.
So, anybody who criticizes CA bad policies are CA haters and people who get excited because Texas will turn blue due to people from Democratic states such as CA moving to Texas are they Texas lovers?

Itās a good thing indeed. Just like a top-tier company will always axe the bottom 10% of their employees. Attract the best and offload the worst is a good recipe for success.
Wrong assumption! Never said everyone who criticize CA are haters. I share both negative and positive articles too. Donāt know whether you have seen other social media forums, thereās extreme hate for only CA. For ex. Life after CA, city-data etc. People who never visited CA once keep posting extreme hateful comments just because it didnāt align with their political belief and certain media. Show me a thread with more than 1000 posts with just hate on non CA state in the whole internet.

Education profile of immigrants vs natives. Over half of recent immigrants to CA have bachelor or higher degrees. We want more of these people!

This forum is about real estate and high number of posts are CA hate posts, even topics you check are SF filthy, Oakland is Oakland, this current thread which you are posting is CA has worst quality of life! Did I join this forum to see CA hate post? No I came here for RE and stocks. Itās the same way about other forums. You donāt need to look for hate posts, it will reach you.

Iāll share some good news.
My cousin got into UC Berkeley!
She was taking a few classes at community college and working part time to contribute to her family. After 5 years, she finally did it! She plans to study biology.
We are really proud since itās * Cal* and the fact that the caiguy clan ( the 100s of us here in the Bay) are really not that educatedā¦ Iām one of a handful most āeducatedā people in our big extended family and I only went to some no name liberal college. We are not the high achieving Asians, 
unfortunately.

Congrats. Among the Asians I know, pretty much 100% would say higher education is good and the minimum expectation for kids would be college. Even for folks who didnāt go.
Not saying itās right or wrong, just that itās the typical Chinese way of looking at education.

Thanks. We are a pretty typical FOB Chinese family but somehow so nearly of all of us didnāt go to college even though many of us came in our teens or early 20s. She was the determined oneā¦
Not sure why but even my own parents didnāt put any pressure on me when I was in schoolā¦Maybe they were too busy working and worrying about money to have energy to care. I played Star Craft and Diablo 2 for like 6-8 hours a day, everyday, in middle and high schoolā¦
In another decade or so, it will be different. All the kid cousins growing now will go to some kind of college.
