Still only about 1800 cases here in AZ. Of course we only have 7 million people but an infection rate of 0.026% isnât bad.
Things in the mountains are as busy as Iâve ever seen them. People pouring in from the Phoenix metro area. Doesnât bode well for our future. Thankfully social distancing isnât hard in the National Forest. But locals are waitng for a weekday to go out and shop.

You can make a mask out of a T-shirt, no sewing machine required. You could also try making one out of (unused) shop towels.
After you get a handle on making masks, you could keep going â and donate the additional masks to health care centers.

I never bought any N95. Too expensive and require fitment test. Ppl just doesnât know and stupidly buy it. It might be worse if doesnât fit

On Saturday, the state announced a partnership with Stanford Medicine to launch the first serology test invented in California. Serology tests use blood samples, instead of secretions taken from throats and noses, to identify whether a person has COVID-19 antibodies. This month, Germany could begin widespread serology testing, while the United Kingdom has ordered millions of antibody tests that can be taken at home.
Now then think of using serology tests? Singapore has done so many moons ago.

âAn update on New York state numbers shows 12 per cent of active Covid-19 cases have been hospitalised for the virus. About 3 per cent of cases are in the ICU, which is the area of main concern for people who become infected because that is where the patients need ventilators.â
New York needing 30,000 ventilators seems odd when they have 57,000 beds. They had 3,000 ICU beds with ventilators, so they want 27,000 more. Since 3% of cases require a ventilator, that would mean NY will have close to 1M cases.
I posted the one study that showed only 30% of ventilators are in use and there is plenty of surge capacity.

Exponential growth is a b***h. At the current rate i.e. doubling every six days NY will have 1M cases in 2.5 weeks. That surplus of ventilators will disappear fast if they donât flatten the curve.
