Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19

Elderly people don’t meet many people so have less chance to get the virus, but have a higher fatality rate.

People self-select to lockdown. It’s not like there’s military on the streets shooting anyone that goes outside.

How is Korea doing great? Their population is 1/6 the US and they have far more cases.

If you ever get asked to take a PSA test, abstain for 3 days before you take it or it will give you a false positive result.

Except Americans suffer from obesity and probably have more underlying conditions than the other countries listed.

That’s ridiculous. Young adults have a very low risk. Thus country is full of cowards. Cowed by the fear of litigation. Forget getting rid of payroll taxes. Get rid of ambulance chasers

The numbers would seem to indicate that this thing burns out in a few weeks regardless of response.
No apparent connection between lockdowns, quarantines and numbers of new cases. Look at Italy.

Lower fatality. Other metrics are not as promising. However, they are more thorough in testing and politicians project what people want them to do.

Appears to be so, need some renowned doctors/data scientists or PhDs to do data analysis  You do not have the stature

It takes a while to die. First lady in Santa Clara was in hospital for couple weeks before she passed away

Perspective.

“During the pandemic, CDC provided estimates of the numbers of 2009 H1N1 cases, hospitalizations and deaths on seven different occasions. Final estimates were published in 2011. These final estimates were that from April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010 approximately 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (8868-18,306) occurred in the United States due to pH1N1. These final estimates are available at: Estimating the burden of 2009 pandemic influenza A (H1N1) in the United States (April 2009-April 2010)External Web Site Icon, Shrestha SS, et al., Clin Infect Dis. 2011 Jan 1;52 Suppl 1:S75-82.”

We will see how this compares in the end.

Finally.

Did we do any of this with H1N1? I don’t remember a single sporting event canceled or fans not allowed.

Covid-19 is high profile. H1N1 is so low profile, I am not aware of it. H1N1 is a code word for financial crisis?

It was in 2009.

Looks exponential to me.

Double every five days

China and South Korea are already recovering. Iran is dead meat. Italy is just starting to get serious. God bless America!

Not sure even God can save America now.

:scream:

Do we know how many tests have been done so far ? That’s the real number that counts
