Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19

Hey Manch, is it time to get a warning tag you can attach to false information about Covid?

Wow. Censorship? How to know what is a false information.

For starters, folks without a medical degree doling out medical advice.

How much medical education have you received? MD?

None, hence no medical advice from me.

Information exchange is not a medical advise. Just like sharing tips on stock market is not an investment advice.

Terri says: “You should exercise and eat food like fruits and vegetables and avoid sugar to stay healthy.”

Ok, I don’t have a medical degree, so clearly that statement must be wrong. Go ahead and have cookies and cake for dinner.

FDA approved something doesn’t work and force everyone to take it

This is a small site and I don’t have the capability of attaching warning tags. Please do not promote the use of any cures that are not sanctioned by the FDA.

These alternative cures may work or they may not. I don’t want to bear the legal and moral responsibilities to be a part of their promotion. Please edit your posts accordingly.

Thank you all for your understanding.

Medical advices are different from run-of-the-mill restaurants or schools recommendations. They are literally life and death issues. And unfortunately Covid related medical discussions have turned into mostly partisan debates.

Doctors prescribe stuff for off-label usage all the time. Anyone who doesn’t realize that is happening every day…

The FDA even says they can do it:

https://www.fda.gov/patients/learn-about-expanded-access-and-other-treatment-options/understanding-unapproved-use-approved-drugs-label

“Estimates for how common off-label prescriptions are in the United States are hardly precise. Credible researchers have estimated they make up as little as 12% and as much as 38% of doctor-office prescriptions.”

Once a drug is off-patent no one is going to pay for a new FDA trial to have it approved for a new use. There’s no money to be made. It’s why stem cell isn’t FDA approved. There’s nothing new to patent, so no one is going to fund the FDA trial.

From the write up above, I can understand why multiple FDA approval may not be required for a drug that has been in market for a very long time.

Has FDA or anyone approved use of sugar as a sweetener in Cake and Candies?
But sugar is still used and assumed safe unless Pelosi brings a legislation in congress to get sugar approved for Candies.

True. And this is exactly why they shouldn’t be censored, but should be open to debate and discussion.

when was a medical advice offered on this forum? I have not seen someone prescribing a medication. What is a medical advice anyway?

Some common sense from Dr. Ben Carson.

Being calm and logical just doesn’t play well.

Edited to remove political reference. I think the comment, with respect to Covid, stands on its own.
