They hit different sectors. Back in 08 it was housing and finance. Now it’s more widespread and the entire service economy is shut down. This hits much closer to home.

We brushed it off like the Chinese did. Last Monday: it’s just a flu.
Now faced with the reality of being trapped on the exponential rocket, it finally sets in. We have no choice but do what the Chinese did. We are shutting the economy down.
Oh yes, we are now building temporary hospitals just like the Chinese did.

majority is going to be like flu except some might have permanent lung damage.

Correct ! And they recover in 3 days of flu/fever.
Those who are aged and pre-existing conditions may get this, esp aged above 80 are riskiest, aged 65-80 are in border risk.
This is a virus mutated from old SARS and other flu. The unfortunate part is no identification and remedy.
Over all 13 companies are working day/night to get a fix, GILD (big team working in China and across world) and MRNA (Today up after going human testing at Seattle) are in clinical stage 3 test and others are behind them.

Been following the local news, about half the cases each day for the last few days were people who had picked up the virus overseas and entered the country. community spread is half the number of new cases.

I think today should make people hopeful. We are finally engaging the enormous capacity of the entire USA on this fight. We can win it if we take this thing seriously. We finally do.
