This is the most extreme social distancing yet in the US. It gotta work or else we are screwed. I don’t think it’s really necessary to lock down central valley counties like Sac and Placer. But I understand the logic of overreacting now just in case. There is no second chance.
March was fine but I’m getting ready to see no rents for April. My PMs will be waiving off late fees. I’m thinking I could even negotiate a lower PM fee for sometime.
One of my most recent buys was ill-timed. I need a new tenant in there but seeing how things are I just have to suck it up for 2 to 3 months.

I’m sure politicians of both parties were selling. They don’t accumulate their massive net worth on their salary by buying SPY or VOO. The fact they are exempt from insider trading is a joke. They can literally know their committee is about to announce a major investigation into a company and short the stock.

I actually don’t care if they sell if they also tell the public what they are doing or get them to act accordingly. What i find ethically challenged is for them to take one action (Which shows what they truly believe) and tell the public something else

You want ethical politicians? Next you’ll want a rainbow colored unicorn, so you can fly to work and skip traffic. It’s easier to just assume they are corrupt and have bad motives. That’s when you realize the less power they have the better.
I watched a “documentary” on Kushner and what a slumlord he is. What struck me was how all the Democrat NYC officials turned a blind eye and enabled him, since his family were big campaign donors. The very people who are supposed to protect the citizens were enabling the slumlord. It’s way easier to do that in a city that only votes for one party. Everyone will vote for whoever the democrat nominee is. The money controls who the nominee is, then it’s an easy win and a continuation of the corruption.

No domestic cases in China.
All new cases are imported and mostly in Beijing.
Some relaxation of social distancing rules in Wuhan. If no new cases for the next 14 cases, more relaxation of rules.
Overseas students are advised not to return unless there are very good reasons.
Many Asian nations are experiencing jump in confirmed cases from imported cases.

From my mother in law in HK she works in restaurant. Ppl start relaxing last 2 weeks, seeing sign ppl not wearing masks. Some restaurants starting to get crowded again. Once relax, and including the import cases, this thing came back. PPl will tigthen things up again in next week or so and it will rise for anohter 2-3 weeks. That’s why i say this virus thing will drag for a while. with small amount of days cases jump up, it will put a lot of burden on hospital, imagine if continous big jumps for weeks.

40% of the confirmed cases require hospitalization. Initial I thought only serious and critical cases need hospitalization. An article said the 1/4 of the latter cases require a ventilator. I think is a misrepresentation, probably all of latter plus some of the 40% require mechanical ventilation.
I think the pandemic can only be contained through global coordination.
China informed WHO on Dec 31. CDC itself sent out warning on Jan 8th. We did nothing in Jan and Feb.
China was wrong to hide the epidemic. Nobody said otherwise. Why did we do nothing after we knew?
