The anti abortion rights arguments here are immaterial. I posted this thread because I am concerned that Republican women are insulted and feel under attack for their loss of rights. If they stay home or vote Democratic because the Supreme Court has taken away rights they have had for 50 years then Democrats win in November. If so then none of the arguments here make any difference. We will see in November. But even Trump said the anti abortion movement will hurt Republicans at the polls. Like I said if you are anti abortion then don’t have one
I could say the same about the anti gun crowd. If someone is anti gun, then they shouldn’t have one. That’s actually a constitutionally protected right.
I think people will get worked up about the abortion rights, but it won’t change many votes. Statistically, the women getting abortions are minority, near or below the poverty line, have 1 kid already, and aren’t married. Those people were never going to vote republican anyway. Democrats dominate low income and minority votes.
Here in AZ all the Republican woman are staunchly pro-life. It’s why a lot of them are Republican in the first place.

The argument that it’s a religious issue is also BS. In 38 states, killing an unborn baby is punishable the same as killing a person. It doesn’t even have to be a viable fetus. We’ve decided that killing and unborn baby is murder. Yes, that means if you cause a car accident that kills an unborn baby, then it’s the same penalty as killing a person. It can’t both be the same penalty as killing a person and also not a person with no rights.
