EV ranges are highly variable and can easily be cut in half depending on driving conditions.
That review of the Vinfast VF8 seemed to be from a Tesla fanboi and not a very neutral person. Yes, there may be issues with the car, but it seems as if the engineers are going to listen to the consumers rather than jump 3 spaces ahead only to fall back 2 when things go badly. The warranty also seems like they are taking a page from Hyundai who in the late 80’s had terrible product and image issues, but turned things around with their extended warranty solution. Having ridden in a Model S and a Model X, I can say from first hand there are build quality issues baked into Elon’s product still.
