Everything Prefab

Not too shabby looking

$150K though

Too expensive. You buy a 800sf stick built house for $150k almost anywhere but the coasts with land included. Plus a new double wide is twice the size for that price.

Everything is more expensive now. Why should housing be any different, especially with what lumber and materials cost these days?

I think material costs are down but labor is up

Doesn’t it take far less labor hours now though? More and more stuff comes ready made with less work required. Plus, power tools have been a game changer. I can’t imagine when they used to hammer all the nails. An air nailer is so much faster.

Labor savings have been around for decades. It takes the same labor for prefab. It is just done indoors. The only advantage for prefab is framing. But framing is only 20% of the hard costs.

Want to save costs
get rid of city fees, change zoning and readjust codes, inspections.

I just met a Florida builder. The latest is build shelter level quality buildings. Steel construction that can withstand hurricanes.
Better but not cheaper.

Modern prefabricated home is an alternative to traditional homes at an affordable price. Prefabricated houses are the choice of present time. People change their location according to their need. At present prefabricated houses are preferred for construction site offices. It becomes easy to have a shelter wherever construction work is going on. Portable homes work as a helping tool in our business. Producers of such homes are succeeding to create a new design paradigm aimed at efficiency and affordability.
