Gavin Newsom Will Be President One Day

  • CA taxburden/taxpayer is up by 46% since 2009
  • CA gdp/per capita is up by 13% since 2009.
  • The above with a “fiscally conservative” governor coming INTO a booming economy.
  • The new non fiscally conservative governor will further increase spending.
  • For sure, the next recession will be within Gavin’s 2 terms, will go INTO a busting economy.
  • By then, the new taxes and new FIXED costs will be baked into the system, which will be perpetual(generational).
  • With new AI & robotics and future less opportunity for the low skilled(sanctuary state) the new poorly educated will be less qualified to future jobs and will ask for more government handouts & the politicians will respond accordingly.

Well, let us here in California take care of our problems.

Fight for your own favorite problems where you live.

Thanks for your attention.

The US as a whole isn’t far behind that scenario when you consider the obligations of the big 3 entitlements and existing debt. There’s zero political will to adjust entitlements to align with the taxes paid for them. Aligning taxes with benefits would crash the economy and probably cause an even bigger problem. Programs where 90% receive more than they pay for can’t sustain forever.

Yes. We got to fix that idea of giving money away as any Socialist government would do to a special type of people or industry.

Yup, no more honeymoon for you, Sir…

I see some people are quiet about what Gavin said about housing.

Those hypocrites and their “commies” BS.

Does this surprise anyone? It’s socialism 101. Take money from one group and give it to another in the name of fairness and equality. The desire for equal outcomes for all is insanity. It literally always leads to high achievers becoming average achievers and the whole system collapses.

You mean the $12 billion socialist handout to the farmers?
I forgot, how much he wanted for the wall? $5 billion?

12-5= 7
Mexico! Mexico! Mexico!

Nymbies, zoning, the EPA, unions, greedy city fees all are the cause of the housing shortage. Only builders can solve it. Politicians should get the hell out of the way.

Yeah, but if we left it up to builders they’d only build unsafe homes and everyone would die. At least that’s the argument the government uses to justify excessive regulation.

Come on, this ain’t India or China!!!

I miss those good old Sears kit homes. If you build for yourself there should be no rules. Like barn raising in the good old days. All the current rules are created by industry opportunists and red ass law makers pandering to their base. No common sense.

Yeah, the irony of that is there are east coast homes built pre-1800 that are still standing and have people living in them. I wonder what the zoning, building code, and inspection process was back then?

The only issue I have with people building themselves is when they decide to sell. You can’t tell what’s inside the walls. Of course, it’d be easy to take photos to document it. That would allow a seller to show the buyer what they are getting.

I should honestly sue the city over my garage roof. It wasn’t built to code, and they passed the inspection. It’s honestly easier to fix it myself than deal with the legal system.

Politicians can’t do anything but pander to their base. They openly lie. Couldn’t build their way out of anything

This is why socialism doesn’t work

THIS IS THE BEST MAXINE EVER, EVER, EVER!

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it
on my back porch and filled it
with seed. What a beauty of
a bird feeder it was, as I filled it
lovingly with seed.
Within a week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the
continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.

But then the birds started
building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table,
and next to the barbecue.

Then came the shit. It was
everywhere: on the patio tile,
the chairs, the table …
everywhere!

Then some of the birds
turned mean. They would
dive bomb me and try to
peck me even though I had
fed them out of my own
pocket.

And others birds were
boisterous and loud. They
sat on the feeder and
squawked and screamed at
all hours of the day and night
and demanded that I fill it
when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn’t even
sit on my own back porch
anymore. So I took down the
bird feeder and in three days
the birds were gone. I cleaned
up their mess and took down
the many nests they had built
all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like
it used to be … quiet, serene…
and no one demanding their
rights to a free meal.

Now let’s see…
Our government gives out
free food, subsidized housing,
free medical care and free
education, and allows anyone
born here to be an automatic
citizen.

Then the illegals came by the
tens of thousands. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for
free services; small apartments
are housing 5 families; you
have to wait 6 hours to be seen
by an emergency room doctor;
Your child’s second grade class is
behind other schools because
over half the class doesn’t speak
English.

Corn Flakes now come in a
bilingual box; I have to
'press one ’ to hear my bank
talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other
than ”ours” are
squawking and screaming
in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe
it’s time for the government
to take down the bird feeder.
If you agree, pass it on; if not,
just continue cleaning up the shit!

Come on, our Chinatown is jammed packed with very unsafe masonry buildings that would crumble under an earthquake. These are over a hundred years old easily. Where is the government? Only has it been recent that earthquake retrofitting has been required but for multi story buildings. And, of course, you may have read about all those owners who are behind on doing it…

Yeah but they lasted 100 years.

because we didn’t have an earthquake here…yet (knock, knock on wood)

If you want urban renewal increase the height limits. Give economic incentives to rebuild.
