Gun Control

#901

In theory, now you’re safer. Criminals will get rid of the guns that are now illegal.

#902

Baby steps…

#903

#904

Geez, getting close to home…

#905

Wait, it wasn’t a military style assault weapon?

#906

Nope, but the extended magazine is illegal in CA. See, I didn’t jump all over you, did i? Buuuuut, hindsight is 20/20 right? I mean the police were called to his house and it does appear he had some demons from serving. I could honestly care less about his life, but 12 innocent lives were lost…again.

#907

Here you go, Mr. Seattle. Assuming this is a trend (going the wrong way now), something should be done…

#908

You mean that proves my point. The magazine he had was illegal, but that didn’t stop he from getting it.

“A mental health specialist met with him and didn’t feel he needed to be hospitalized.”

So the mental health system failed him and the victims. How often do we see that? The FL school shooter literally asked for help and was told no.

Notice they include suicides to say the number of gun related deaths is increasing? Do you really think banning guns would eliminate all of those suicides or would they just pick a different way?

Also, every single time you ignore that removing guns increases assault, sexual assault, home robbery, and a host of other crimes.

#909

My point was more that if studies showed that the trend was heading the wrong way, a reversal of the stats that you had shown previously, then something needs to be done. That something is not necessarily removing guns. Isn’t a combat veteran who could probably put together a dismantled gun blindfolded a ticking time bomb if he is having some post military issue?

#910

Notice they include suicides to say the number of gun related deaths is increasing? Do you really think banning guns would eliminate all of those suicides or would they just pick a different way?

You completely ignored that which explains why the article says gun deaths are increasing.

#911

Is the article factually correct or not? Sure, you can pick it your way. I just threw it out there for discussion. I don’t know what the answer is, other than it is getting closer to home. Absolutely someone can jump in front of a BART train to kill himeself/herself and piss off a ton of commuters at the same time. I don’t have a problem with someone wanting to end it via gun, knife, slingshot, but don’t take innocent lives with you.

#912

Do you consider gun suicides a gun problem or a mental health problem? Do you think without guns those people wouldn’t commit suicide? They are using an increase in gun suicides to say gun violence is increasing.

#913

Well, are they technically wrong? Suicide by gun is a violent way to go, no?

#914

So now you’re arguing we should restrict guns to lower suicides or just change how people commit suicide?

#915

Um, I am not arguing anything…I am just tired of more innocent YOUNG lives being cut down by a guy wielding a gun. Is that ok?

#916

You’re pivoting all over the place and seem incapable of differentiating between a homicide and suicide.

#917

Oh, I can tell the difference all right… 12 people just got murdered and I coward takes his own pathetic life after committing multiple homicides

#918

Hey Mr. Seattle,

Next time you are about to hit the operating room, why don’t you wear that NRA t-shirt so proudly…

#919

So you’re just going to run in circles, change what you claim is important, pivot a bunch of times, and not make a point. Cool. All I can figure is you’re into making people scared of guns even if the facts don’t support that.

#920

The story I posted just illustrates the typical smug attitude exhibited by pro gun nuts. Now telling doctors to “stay in their lane”… wow.
