Do you think the 6 prior FBI background checks were wrong? He served in the White House. Those are pretty thorough background checks. He’s a judge on the #2 court in the country.

Yes, I place more weight on her testimonial. Not that it will override everyone else’s, but in a sexual misconduct case the victim’s memory is of course more vivid than some random partygoer’s.
When you compare testimonials of the two people with most direct knowledge of what happened, one is forthcoming in her answers, the other evasive and combative. That further moves the scale to her favor in my mind.
Now maybe BK is really innocent. But maybe not. Why does it have to be him to sit on the Supreme Court for life?

if you think he’s a rapist, prosecutor has to show proof, not the other way around please.

I know. Pick someone else without this issue. The problem is this issue can literally be made up about anyone. Especially if you’re talking about 35 years ago. Do you really think he went from gang banging rapist in HS and college to zero sexual assaults after?

No. This is not a criminal trial. This is a job interview. I don’t know job interview nowadays is “you get the job unless proven beyond reasonable doubt you are a criminal”.

To be fair, everyone should watch this whole Opening Statement of Kavanaugh, not the clipped-and-spinned versions from the media.
(At 12:30 of the video, Kavanaugh teared when mentioning his 10 years old daughter prayed for Ford.)
I watched the whole video, helped me to make my own judgement instead of what the media convinced me so.
Watch the video in the context of how many times he lied there.
- He lied about attending parties similar to what Ford described. His own calendar showed he attended these parties (wether or not Ford was there)
- He accuses a vast Left Wing conspiracy? What conspiracy? There is one (however) on the right-wing side that he’s associated with - Judicial Crisis Network - that was formed in 1992 to promote and push for conservative judges that spent millions of dollars promoting his candidacy
- This is about the Clintons? he’s off his rocker
- What will go around will come around? a Judge is supposed to be impartial and calm, he’s shouting, crying and making clumsy threats
- He lied about the witness statements saying they said it didn’t happen. That’s not what they said and as a Judge he should have been careful of context and nuance. What they said was they did not recall. Important distinction
- I didn’t live near this place - another lie. All the places discussed are within a 5 mile radius of where he hangs out
- He lied about his sexual boasts in his yearbook (and during his testimony the wiki’s were being updated live with his false interpretations with IP addresses from the Hill). He gave explanations for his Debbie Renatus statement that Debbie herself said she didn’t believe and she was disappointed him (she was originally a supporter who signed his letter as she didn’t know about his yearbook). So was his explanations for Devil’s triangle and FFFFFFFourth of July
- He lied about not drinking to excess
So yes, look at the video. And realize he lied repeatedly.
