Impact of election on market

7.3 million Americans have had covid19. 7.1 million have survived. They are winners. You are a whiner
Without a good vaccine most of us will get covid19 and 99% will survive. My guess is slowly the symptoms will ge less severe with time.

I am a scientist describing what this virus does to the body in objective terms. When catching Covid is ‘winning,’ we are truly living in a world of ‘alternative facts.’ Natural selection appears to alive and well…

You might be biologist or virologist but cannot claim to be a scientist unless your writings reflect use of scientific temperament.

Faithful representation of data is the bedrock on which human scientific progress is built. Any ‘scientist’ not outraged by fabrication and/or misrepresentation of results is a charlatan.

Just curious. What kind of science (or scientific methodology) is contained in your above statement?

Ultimately it is body immune system withstanding the COVID-19 virus and it is individual immune system that matters.

If Trump comes out in 14-30 days, still people vote for him ( esp his base ).

This incident creates strong sympathy and surviving COVID itself big win for him.

Hoping he will struggle (naturally ), the survive, finally win the presidency.

Many people I heard about come out of covid in 4-5 days. All of them were young. But ability to fight covid is a function not so much of age but the immune system and pre-existing conditions of the infected person.

There are smart, ethical Republicans and smart, ethical Democrats.

Trump and many people in his administration are morons. This was all preventable.

If you think people not already in his cult will be sympathetic to Trump, consider the following. He went to an indoor fundraiser after he knew he’s got the virus and received treatment, without telling anyone. He may have literally killed people there.

Such a pal.

And they are still actively trying to obfuscate the exact timeline.

Correct. If Trump Covid is true ! If not, if it made up Drama? No one will get affected. No one can prove Trump Covid… As he is also not declaring, his doctor is declaring…

Even if Trump Covid is hoax, USA legal system is so difficult to prove anything against him.

Even though I like Trump ( and I am also strong supporter for him), I know Trump himself so crooked and can do anything to win his elections.

IMO, True or False, he will come out of Covid-19 issue, sympathy wave increases from his base, winning chances are so high to see him next president.

When British PM able to survive, Trump will also survive (even if it is real). I am surprised if Trump is getting into critical situation, otherwise it is not a surprise.

IMO, good for USA as I hate Biden 28% Corp tax increase and I hate Dems tax people formula. This country deserves such a strong president for next 4 years.

Trump Covid convinces me he is clear winner of the elections !

Now they got the fat one.

WSJ says “The president, who faces risks of a more severe bout with the virus because of his age, is taking vitamin D and other treatments in addition to Regeneron’s antibody cocktail and Gilead’s remdesivir”

Second issue, if Trump comes out clean from Covid-19, he can declare that Medicine for Covid-19 is there and he survived because such medication.

He can declare Covid-19 Medicine win and his issue - as a clear proof.

Remember, Trump is crooked, wait and watch the fun until Nov 3rd.

Doesn’t matter. He delegates. Reagan was never the same after getting shot. Didn’t hurt his presidency. And Biden already comes off as though he’s had a heart attack or stroke.

People are known by the company the keep and who they stand for. I am yet to see those Democrats whom you think have high level of ethical and moral awareness come forward and denounce the arson and rioting that happened in last few months. And I would love to know if they questioned the calls of defunding the police even as their party supported domestic terrorism by BLM and Antifa.

Very interesting article on why the Democrats are losing [the Latino vote in] Florida… This is what I’ve been wondering for a while–Tthe Latino community sees America as a land of opportunity and has in fact been making the American Dream a reality for themselves.

Some quotes:

While the first post-revolutionary wave of Cuban migrants to the United States came several decades ago, memories of the atrocities under Fidel Castro’s communist regime remain fresh in the minds of Cuban emigres and their descendants in South Florida.

Now, some Cuban-Americans are experiencing a moment of deja vu, seeing the Democratic Party enthusiastically embrace similar socialist rhetoric and policies faithfully implemented in the very society they fled.

…

The left-wing woketopians now running the Democratic Party are running on the logic that all minorities are against the white “cis” majority, victims of wealthy oppression in a systemically racist society, when in fact many Hispanic voters have become very successful within a generation or two of arriving in the United States, embodying the American dream.

Through their blanket demands for reparations and the destruction of free enterprise, the Black Lives Matter movement has tried to include Hispanics in its narrative that the United States was founded on slavery and oppression, even though many Hispanics have arrived in the United States long past slavery and even Jim Crow, and have had a very different experience than black Americans.

Hispanics in South Florida, who have risen from abject poverty to prosperity, have also actually lived through real oppression.

Interestingly enough, NYT just had a poll out on PA and FL this afternoon.

By overwhelming margins, voters in Pennsylvania and Florida were repelled by President Trump’s conduct in the first general election debate, according to New York Times/Siena College surveys, as Joseph R. Biden Jr. maintained a lead in the two largest battleground states.

Over all, Mr. Biden led by seven percentage points, 49 percent to 42 percent, among likely voters in Pennsylvania. He led by a similar margin, 47-42, among likely voters in Florida.

The surveys began Wednesday, before the early Friday announcement that President Trump had contracted the coronavirus. There was modest evidence of a shift in favor of Mr. Biden in interviews on Friday, including in Arizona where a Times/Siena survey is in progress, after controlling for the demographic and political characteristics of the respondents.

This is just one poll. I believe in averaging of polls. Still an interesting data point.

Point. I’ll edit my post–the article is pointing more to the loss of the Latino vote.

Zzzzz. You are right. Only Republicans are ethical. So dumb.

The BLM does not understand the Latinos. In fact more than half of Latinos self identify as white. Especially Cuban Americans.

As of 2010, 50.5 million or 16.3% of Americans identified as Hispanic or Latino.[1] Of those, 26.7 million, or 53% (8.64% of the total U.S. population), also self-identified as white.[1]
