Impact of election on market

Trump not looking so hot in Arizona. McSally is single handedly flipping both senate seats to Dem. Amazing work. Keep it up!

There’s been some swamp draining. I think it’d take decades to fully drain it. Sadly, most people are totally unaware it exists or anything has happened. The mainstream media won’t cover it.

I went Washington one year ago. It is beautiful and impressive. Massive buildings full of young enthusiastic people unknowingly working hard to screw the rest of us. A company town where the workers actually think they are doing good. I say close it down. Open a new Capitol in Vegas. Employ all those government workers in the private sector making solar panels or some other green bull. The problem is the government doesn’t even know it is a sell serving hot mess.

If I was 50/50 on policy I’d go with personality as well. But it’s not even close.
And megalomaniacs start wars. Trump ends them.

Massively outspent here in AZ. Airwaves flooded with smear ads. Don’t know what the ratio is with McSally but at the state level the spending ratio is about 12 to 1.
We’ve been Dem before; had a Democratic governor less then 10 years ago. We get sick of them fast though.

Trump has started a civil war in this country…

Trump’s supporters aren’t the ones rioting and looting. Beyond that - the non-stop smear campaign of the last 4 years - everything from Russia to the faux impeachment to all the mis-quotes - all the Democrats and their media supporters.

Right…instead they are running over people with trucks, spraying them with mace, paintballs, and shooting them with AR15s at (mostly) peaceful protests.

I’ve said it before – the violent left and violent right are more the same than different. Take a step back from your personal worldview and try to see the forest through the trees. Instead of a moderate who will call these people out for what they are, domestic terrorists, we have a divider in chief, elected by a minority of Americans, who has picked a side.

Then why does the left coddle Antifa and BLM while turning a blind eye to their violence? You say Trump started a civil war but BLM started under Obama. Obama told them they do great work and invited them to the white house. The DNC has the mothers of the movement on stage. Wasn’t Obama supposed to improve relations? How many Dallas police were shot after Obama supposed BLM and did the criminal justice system is racist?

You can site 2 actions allegedly inspired by Trump. It seems that in your mind those 2 actions by individuals are a far greater issue than the BLM and Antifa issues. If that’s your stance, then you’re too biased to warrant any further discussion.

I think both sides are blaming each other but we all see what we want to see anyway. Trump didn’t help himself with his rhetoric, etc IMO. I have a cousin who’s a detective/police (also served in the military) and he was an ardent supporter of Trump last election (he’s no Obama fan). He was even temporarily deployed to Washington DC a few months ago because of all the troubles there. He says he dealt with antifa, proud boys, blm, 3 percenter, etc on street level. No matter how he looks at it, he’s now on the camp of Trump stoking extremes on both ends and causing all the trouble. He’s done with Trump and wants someone in the middle but probably vote Biden even though he’s a Republican his whole life. Either way, I think the stock market will do well in the short term.

Running people over in trucks?
You mean some guy frightened for his life desperate to flee.
Shooting them with AR-15’s? I can’t believe anyone who watched the video could come to that conclusion.
And of course this is just 2020. We’ve had bloody Antifa beat-downs for over fours years now and Republican senators trying to play basketball having to dodge bullets.
The violence - almost 100% of it - has come from the left. It’s a familiar strategy. Send it a bunch of Brownshirts to cause chaos and strife and then present yourself as the solution to the problem you created. Beware - it usually ends badly. When the Left finally crashes a nation it isn’t a Donald Trump who finally rises to put things back together - it’s an Augusto Pinochet or other military backed leader…

The war was going well before he took office. There were riots and protests 2016 and before… He certainly isn’t helping heal race issues (like not even trying at all)–I’ll give you that–but the media and even Facebook has done way more to cause division than Trump has. Cancel culture was going well before Trump.

That’s your issue right there. You are equating BLM with antifa. BLM movement is overwhelmingly peaceful with the support of the majority of Americans.

Safe to say Antifa doesn’t have the majority’s support if people even know what that is. Ask people who don’t watch Fox News 8 hours a day what is antifa. Many won’t know what you are talking about.

I can see that. The BLM, Antifa, and their urban supporters are fighting so hard with Trump Administration and some police departments to end the civil war.

Nice try to create parity between BLM, Antifa, and everyone else. Sorry!

Biden’s numbers picked up after the debate.

I no longer buy that BLM–[as an Organization]–is peaceful. I think they’re enjoying the chaos and rioting. Why shouldn’t they? It’s been effective at waking up the nation. They’re just not as bad as Antifa, but they sure as heck aren’t Dr. Martin Luther King. Not one bit.

The protests here are now blocking the traffic and local BLM leaders are silent while the protest members justify blocking traffic as a minor inconvenience to educate the public and any traffic accidents are not their fault. it’s only a matter of time before someone dies because they couldn’t get to the hospital in time just like the LA protests in 2016. And given what our local racial makeup is and the location of the hospital, it’s highly likely that person’s going to be a black or Latino. The hypocrisy is amazing.

BLM leaders say they’re peaceful, but they really don’t do much to call for peaceful protests. Who does? Black mayors and other leaders who are not associated with BLM who see how much the protests have destroyed black neighborhoods and ruined black-owned businesses plus Black pastors who truly believe in MLK’s message and that forgiveness means love and building friendships, not anger and violence…

If that’s your view of BLM, then there’s really no point in discussing. It doesn’t matter how many times you’re confronted with riots, looting, chanting that they want dead cops, and other acts. You just don’t care. Meanwhile, the left invites them to the white house and the DNC.

I guess it also doesn’t matter that the riots are over info that’s later proven incorrect. Just look at the history of these cases. Grand juries in those communities don’t even find enough evidence to have a trial. The real story is always months later, and people hold onto the original narrative.

You’re also proving my point about Antifa. The mainstream media and left won’t even acknowledge it exists. So how informed is the average voter?

I don’t think I understand what you’re saying. Urban supporters and BLM are NOT fighting alongside of PDs to end a civil war. They are battling against PDs and calling for defunding. And defunding mean defunding as in cutting funds and officers from the force. Seattle’s “defunding” cut 100 officers. In the Bay Area, this has absolutely been BLM against the PD even in areas where the PD has a significant number of minority officers.
