San Francisco Is The Place To Be

The crime rate is higher in San Francisco than in New York, according to bestplaces.net, which uses FBI data to create an index for violent and property crimes. It assigned San Francisco a violent crime index of 39.6 compared to New York’s 28.2, with both above the national index figure of 22.7. Property crime in San Francisco was an even great disparity, with San Francisco assigned a 79.2 index figure compared to New York’s 24.9, which actually came in below the national average of 35.4.

We know where all those criminals are coming in from…

SF is making progress. Lowest theft rate during the holiday season in 7 years.

Hopefully after this year’s election moderates will be in firm control and we can accelerate progress.

I mean homeless people tend to be skinny. Good thing they don’t include drug usage in their criteria.

Drug usage leads to mental health, i.e. feeling “that one is in their version of heaven” :upside_down_face:

More nails… hammered in for some cities?

Just 6 out of 158 U.S. CEOs said they’ll prioritize bringing workers back to the office full-time in 2024, according to a new survey released by the Conference Board.

Why it matters: Executives are increasingly resigned to a world where employees don’t come in every day, as hybrid work arrangements — mixing work from home and in-office — become the norm for knowledge workers.

The return-to-office wars are over

Good news for a change.

“ The city’s largest mall, Westfield San Francisco Centre, has lost nearly $1 billion in its estimated worth after its owners, Westfield and Brookfield, stopped making mortgage payments on its $558 million last year, according to the Real Deal.

The mall has seen a mass exodus of prominent retailers since last year, but its biggest blow came when Nordstrom moved out of its 312,000-square-foot, multilevel space in August due to fentanyl “zombies” roaming around outside among drug dealers and thieves after 35 years.”

That’s clearly all lies. We know there’s never poop on sidewalks or drugs being used in public. We get told that every time there’s an article discussing it.

For people who are binary and only see black and white, it’s always either heaven or hell. No in between.

Oh, and one specific location in trouble means the whole town is in tatters. Westfield happens to have another mall on the other side of SF. I always have trouble finding parking spot there. Out of town doomers either don’t know or don’t care as it doesn’t fit their narratives.

You’re the one that claims to never see any of the activity. That’s a rather black and white stance.

One person’s experience is just that. One person’s experience.

All I am saying is that the claim every street of SF has feces on it is absurd. I personally have not seen any.

Not 100% covered in feces doesn’t mean 0%. I have never claimed that. Clearly other people have experienced that and I don’t doubt them. If you take that not 100% automatically means 0% that’s your own interpretation.

It’s NOT a good idea to try FAILING ideas on oneself. Better someone else tries them and one learns from others misguided policies. However, I don’t expect SF and large parts of CA to learn from it’s failed policies.

San Francisco and CA(last 20 years) are good examples for other states/cities/places to know what NOT to DO and BECOME and hence learn from them.

Bang, bang, Niner Gang!!!

Ok, the Fab 7 (you know it is unfair) will be in the headlines for the next two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. They will call them by name, THE SAN FRANCISCO 49ers. Not the Santa Clara 49ers or the Silicon Valley 49ers.

And yeah, KC looks awesome but we were dead in the water and came back in an instant classic. Sure, not like a Super Bowl comeback but arguably one for the Niner books.

The publicity from this is massive for the Fab 7x7. Let’s not kid ourselves. We need this shot in the arm. Drone shots of the GGB and the cable cars will pay future dividends.

Go Niners!!! You know what you do when you are playing with house money. You press it!!!

TBH not sure we can beat Taylor Swift. But if anyone can beat her it’s us San Francisco!

Unlike other major sports, it is one game take all. I probably wouldn’t take us to win 4/7 games played. LOL

Let’s be honest, the year Tampa Bay beat them with Tom Brady (the year after we lost to them in the SB), a lot of people felt that Chief’s team was not as tough.

I am hoping it happens somewhere around here!!! Go Niners!!!
