San Francisco Is The Place To Be

Well, who is going to take care of their lawns, small construction/remodeling projects, walking their dogs or taking care of Junior/Jane???

Still think young people in their 20s should spend a few years living in either NYC or SF.

I think SF is the most beautiful city I’ve ever seen. Though Raleigh is very green, the Bay Area has stunning grassy hills, redwood trees, and native succulents that make it unique.

I’m outdoorsy and enjoy nature, and there are so many opportunities to go for hikes or explore towns nearby like Half Moon Bay or Santa Cruz.

I’m also in a food paradise here. I’m close to some of the best Szechuan, Vietnamese, Japanese, Mexican, El Salvadorian, Eritrean, Taiwanese, Italian, Filipino, French, Arab, Burmese, and new American food I’ve ever had.

SF :-1: No Cantonese food. No Indian food.

These are not counted as criminals.

This is related to SF how?

Maybe they are on the run to Texas? How do you know where they are going?

Tell me you have never been to SF without telling me.

Just had some amazing Char Siu tonight bought from a local bbq shop in SF. It can compete with the top tier Char Siu from Hong Kong.

Really? Someone doesn’t agree… she didn’t mention Cantonese or Indian food. Obviously :-1: from her PoV. Same as didn’t have.

California needs to offset all the $200k+ income people who are leaving. The plan appears to be replacing them with illegals who are criminals.

Not that I live there anymore but I do come by and collect rent, where is this supreme bbq shop may I ask? Your previously mentioned Ocean Ave shop or something in the Sunset/Richmond?

The ocean street shop is good for roast duck. This shop has the best Char Siu in town. Ask for some Char Siu soy sauce to go and put some on the meat and your rice. Holy f**k that’s amazing!

Two words: RENT CONTROL

I know a 74 year old in Alameda Co. who doesn’t pay rent on his rental. He’s the building’s ā€œMr. Fix-it.ā€ It’s rent controlled and the landlord realized he could make more money off the guy with that arrangement than by charging him rent since he’s been there decades and would now pay a pittance.

Oh yeah, that was my game plan back in Oakland when I had my 4plex. I came across a renting Nicaraguan family where the husband was starting out in construction. I never raised his rent ever in over 10+ years of staying there. Why? Cuz he took care of things so I didn’t need to around there. Priceless…

Now, he owns a huge SFH with a great view I hear. Has a great 9-5 job with a large construction or remodeling firm and he gets 401K, vacation time, etc. This was perhaps an illegal immigrant at one point before he married his legal wife here. Talk about living the American dream…

According to @manch, Western Europe is liberal, caring and rich. However, Mr Loo thinks Malaysia, though not as safe as Singapore, is 10x safer than Europe. I think Mr Loo should go to SF and give us his impression. Safer than Western Europe or not :grinning:

Again posting content that doesn’t have anything to do with the topic? Just some random garbage.

I think your brain is infected with some far right virus after you moved to Texas.

SF has cut car breakins more than half YoY in the last 3 months. Now lowest since 2018.
