Singapore Is That Good

I have been following Andrew for awhile now. He lives in many spots including KL…

Surprising to see, when I googled it, that even nominally socialist countries like Nicaragua, Belize, and (less so) Costa Rica have lower tax rates than the US and socialist Ecuador is about the same.
Of course if it’s the personal freedom or safety aspect one is concerned about one can just live rural in the US.

Singapore looks great for those who love living in big cities. Not my cup of tea tbh

Where is Singapore again? Not sure I want to settle my family in a future war zone.

“A lot of us in Southeast Asia are very nervous about Taiwan, seriously,” said Saifuddin Abdullah, a former Malaysian foreign minister whose remarks were echoed by other regional leaders. “We’re very nervous.”

OMG, this is the best that you can do?

Ok, let me know your thoughts but if you want to invest in the “spillover positives” of Singapore here it is. I am going to Malaysia in Nov/Dec to not only check out property in Penang but we will stay here to see if they are nice or not. Group buy, anyone???

Here is what is happening as we speak:

  • LRT or fast train line between Singapore and Malaysia is being constructed and completion date is anticipated in 3 years or end of 2026.
  • The ONE station that will be built nearest to this transport line on the Malaysia side is where these condos are (Phase 1 is done and Phase 2 next door and closer to water is almost done?; Phase 3 and 4 are later but farther away from station). From Phase 1, one can walk to station and get to Singapore for work/play. GAME CHANGER!!!
  • Condos range from studios all the way up to 4 bd units. Most of the smaller units sold already. Some of the largest ones or dual key units are available. Investors are all over this I guess. Can still buy on the secondary market but of course at higher prices. May find a deal in Phase 1 if someone needs the money back after all. Studios originally started about $100K US?
  • Nothing is guaranteed in life, but these properties should go up in value once line is operational. It is too convenient to not be worth owning. I may buy a unit for our use or for wife’s nephews or nieces to live in if they want it later.

Singapore :+1: The more the merrier :money_mouth_face:

Singaporeans are unassuming and honest. If you want to mix around with unassuming and honest people, migrate to Singapore.

13.5K corrupt businessmen moved to a small country. I would worry for the bad influence they bring along.

Yes, go to Singapore!!! Do not under any circumstances go to Penang Island in Malaysia!!! It’s such a terrible place for Chinese Nations especially!!! LOL

Come on, people, look at this killer condo unit that YOU can own and live in for the rest of your life!!!

They are businessmen, not retirees. Singapore is more suitable.

Singaporeans are unassuming and honest, they will be reformed.

What, they don’t want to enjoy long weekends on a paradise island that has outstanding and better food than Singapore? Please…

Or it could be Singapore that gets reformed.

I am also not sure all Singaporeans are “unassuming and honest”.

Google auto complete says Singaporeans are nasty?

:scream:

.

Sentosa

Still using Google? Progress! According to ChatGPT…
Singaporeans are hardworking, disciplined, driven, respectful, family-oriented and filial piety :grinning:

I don’t know anything about Singapore but I do know Google searches are mostly garbage.

Why are Singaporeans

1: so annoying
2: unhappy
3: leaving Singapore

Doesn’t sound like a good place to live.

Google knows.

Interesting video. Funny they consider its proximity to McDonald’s an amenity. Great views but I am always reluctant to value view… you never know when another building will block your view.
