Both? I don’t sell my AAPLs… hold (hopefully forever).
TSLA
Like people vowing to own IBM or GE forever?
.
Those guys 忘记风险. Mine is “hopefully forever” 居安思危. I know IBM and GE, many of my friends work in these places. I didn’t invest (not once) in any of these stocks, obvious duds in the 1990s.
It’s better than consistently picking loser stocks and selling them to buy other losers.
You want to speculate?
At 0.16 a share GOEV is either bust or a 20x winner in the next 12 months.
I made a small bet (10kish) even though I’m mostly just an index holder.
Cultists will follow Musk to Mars . Traders and short sellers are making the money. Even I am a buyer at $100. There will always be cultists that will pay more…
My tenant just bought a 2014 Model S with 30k miles for $15k
There’s always buyers when shit is on sale…
Heh, I still use my breadmaker. Better product and a fraction of the price of store bought.
And the proportions don’t need to be spot on. And you don’t really need eggs.
The rest of this is spot on.

Despite Tesla TSLA, -12.13% Chief Executive Elon Musk’s entrepreneurial brilliance and billions of dollars in U.S. government subsidies to support EVs, it appears that consumers still prefer to drive to a gas station for a five-minute fill-up than to retrofit their garage and suffer the range anxiety that comes from hunting for a charging station in the parking lot of an abandoned shopping mall.
Innovators (first 2.5%) have bought. Early adopters (next 13.5%) are waiting for more and reliable charging stations to be constructed. Your sincerely belongs to the early majority (next 34%) are waiting for cheaper and more reliable EVs, more maintenance workshops and reliable charging stations at convenient places.
California still pours $7,000 into each new EV (on top of the maximum $7,500 federal credit), despite reporting a record $68 billion budget deficit.
@manch enjoys paying taxes for illegal immigrants and for climate change.
EVs face obstacles even beyond physics and consumer inertia: Namely, a faulty electrical grid. More Americans today are spending more hours sitting in the dark.
EVs have been promoted by presidents, governors, the IRS and tech wizards. But the public isn’t listening.
Public is not stupid. EVs rob your freedom.
Most people don’t even have $1,000 for an unexpected expense. How on earth will they update their home to add an EV charger? Who’s going to pay the cost to update for renters?
Another all-in TSLA cultist, Sawyer Merritt is so tense after TSLA dropped by more than 10% that he took issue with Amit’s ignorance of what Elon said (btw, I don’t follow TSLA and Elon that closely, whatever pop up in X is all I know and I don’t verify)…
Charging time is the biggest hurdle. No easy fix to that unless it all goes “NIO.”
TLDR: TSLA is an auto stock with automotive revenue growth, margins, and FCF rates.
Toyota was right and Musk was wrong… enough said.
So does that mean Tesla deserves a Toyota valuation or even less… if that’s so Tesla is a $10 stock
Dan???

Given current events, Daren’s view could be right about TSLA share price go nowhere for 3/4 to 1.75 years (3 months past his comments in Oct 23).
Making statesman’s comment? Do you have any experience running a business? As large as Tesla?
Dave Lee is also uber bullish on PLTR right? Another fanboy darling. Is he buying alibaba as well?
No one can predict stock price but a company’s fundamentals are for all to see. Granted Tesla is harder to decode because Elon is a serial liar. You need to go to first principles and have some basic knowledge about the subject to see why FSD, Optimus bot and Dojo are not gonna work.
.
AFAIK, he is all-in TSLA. Two years ago, he is bullish on NET.

I am not a CS major. I don’t know what is FSD, Optimus and Dojo especially Dojo. Too lazy to DD on them. Superficial knowledge is sufficient for me.
